This engine ran when it came out of the ‘S 25 years ago. It’s been in dry storage ever since. I am restoring a 1974 911 S. This was going to be the period correct motor. There is no compression. I found an excellent deal for a complete rebuilt 1997 993 3.6 ltr with V RAM and decided to go with it.
My son was learning about Porsches as I was restoring them. He wanted to learn so I let him disassemble it to the long block. He spent a lot of time cleaning everything thing up.
I helped him put back together with a few fun details.
