The great sensation of Audi on the IAA Frankfurt 2013 is the 'Urban', Audi's new super mini.
The Audi Urban will be based on the VAG triplets, VW up! - Seat Mii - Skoda Citigo.
In contrast to his 3 siblings the Audi "Urban" gets an upgraded interior.
Also in the engine department the Audi Urban will be clearly a step higher.
Under the hood of the "Urban" there is a new 1.5 ltr 3 cylinder TFSI engine with 130 hp and 200 Nm torque.
The Top Speed of the "Urban" would be 208 Km/h and the sprint from 0-100 Km/h would take 8.2 seconds.
The Audi Urban is with 890 Kg heavier than its 3 siblings, further the Super mini will roll on 215/45R16" tires, and has disc brakes around.

and the irony is that Mini, the brand which rekindled this segment, keeps churning out bigger cars. In any case, if it looks as good as it does in the images above, Audi will certainly have a winner on their hands.

The Up!, Mii and Citigo are around 835 Kg.

Mystery Audi Prototype Spotted Testing in China




Secretly, without the knowledge of the international auto press, Audi has begun testing a new car which we expect could burn as little as 1 liter of leaded fuel per 100 km, provided you're going downhill and there's no wind from the front.

Ironic considering MINI re brands engines made be Peugeot/Citroen and Rolls Royce re brands engines made by BMW. How is that for desperation?

Sorry but BMW do not offer the same car with a MINI badge .

I know someone that bought the SKODA Citigo over the VW UP. they are exactly the same car but the VW was more expensive.

The market tread is return to smaller and smaller car which originally started decades ago with the original Mini and Fiat 500. Given the choice on this or a Mini I reckon I'd chose this because whilst I loved the BMW Mini when it first came out I've grown tired of each model since to the point that as a brand it doesn't know what it wants to be.

Sadly I agree with Scott here. Rebadging a VW as an Audi is not acceptable. The least they could have done was a re-skin.
