Roadtrips 2015 United Sports Car Championship (USCC) @ LAGUNA SECA

Hi again guys!

Having attended my first race at Laguna Seca in 2012, it's now a track I go to every year to enjoy the United Sports Car Championship (USSC, merger of American Le Mans Series and the GrandAm Series). Watching on TV is great, but there's nothing like attending a race, ...enjoying the sights, sounds and smells...and also being around other folks who hare your passion and enthusiasm for motorsports!

As I've done for the past 3 years, I took a bunch of photos just to share with you all. Enjoy!! ;)

This are straight off the camera, not even auto-enhanced in any way, just resized. I'll be editing some of these photos soon, so I will post those when I'm done.

The 'Paddock' is just awesome. Race cars buzzing by you. Love the full-access fan-friendly approach of the series!

The BMW's started 1 and 2, and that's how they finished (in their class). The race wasn't as straightforward as that, but both BMW's were handling great and kept pulling away over a long run. Towards the end both cars were on cruise control carefully managing slower traffic and the faster Prototypes.

This is my fourth straight year attending this event,...and finally BMW was able to capture the win! Wooo!!

As I said, I'll be editing some photos, so look forward to those! :)

Here's a quick highlights package of the race.

I was so very fortunate to finally get third and final driver's autograph for my 1:18 BMW M3 GT2 Art Car!

Awesome posts, massive thanks for sharing the photos and your experience with us, and congrats on getting the final signature. Who was the missing driver?

Thanks mate! Always happy to share with you all!

The final driver's autograph was that of Dirk Werner. Last year Andy Priaulx and Dirk Muller were driving over here while Dirk Werner was racing in Europe. I honestly thought I'd never get a chance to see Dirk Werner, but once it was announced he'd be racing over here this year, my ticket to this race was booked!

There are a couple of unopened examples of this diecast on ebay going for about US$800 and US$1,300 respectively. I can only wonder what a diehard collector (or one of the three drivers) might pay for my diecast. But I'll never sell it.

Yes, those photo are really great, but its photoprapher used Photoshop. In your case they are just very beautiful because of good pictures you took :)
