Also, the event is being streamed - with daily, day long streams until Sunday! Unfortunately the commentary is not always brilliant, there is a lot of commercials and for some reason this year they put the commentator boot next to a drifting competition so there is a constant sound of tires squealing, but you might find something to like anyway.

Goodwood is a textbook example on how to keep an "auto show" relevant.

Aston-Martin Valkyrie (wow)
LR Defender V8
BMW 2-Series (looks good)
Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT (looked like a winged monster)
Alfa Gulia GTA
Maser MC20 (not enough drama for a supercar)
Ferrari SF90 (just looks weird)
Lambo Huracan STO (looks aftermarket)
McLaren Artura

I feel like the Mercedes SL should have made it's debut at this event or at least ran the course in camo.

I think that there might some extra cars making a debut tomorrow. We also still haven't seen the Aventador Ultimae for example, that is supposed to debut there.

The rallye sports Series I and II Ford Escorts fascinate me. And that metallic blue Porsche 992 GT3 Touring...WOW. I spotted their footage while watching a bit of the FOS livestream on YouTube yesterday. What a magnificent event in general !

WHOA !!- that pre-"batmobile" wingless BMW Motorsport GmbH E9 3.0 CSL !!

To no-one's surprise, the NA engines have this covered - especially the V12s. It's notable, though, how relatively large the difference is when you hear all the engines from the same distance and with the same microphone, and without any sound editing or tricks.

:nailbiting:

Yeah, I caught the end of the livestream where the SCV12 made up the hill. Then it was announced that the Duke of Richmond (?) was taking the wheel for a climb. I was quite looking forward to hearing that Cozzie scream. However, it started of leisurely and I was disappointed but thought it's best he not bin the car. Then he stopped and opened the door. Even more disappointment and probably moreso for the Valkyrie team at A-M.

Then I saw video of it making the climb earlier. It's sounds absolutely delicious...when it works. ;)

Is it possible the folks at GMA will bring out a test prototype of the T.50 or still to early to show it out and about? I'd love to see and hear that.

Sadly that's not happening. GMA brought out the Brabham BT44B and Gordon's IGM T4 - a sportscar he built according to Formula 750 rules when he first came to the UK. The T.50 is probably not yet ready for a full public premiere, or they are too busy catching up with testing and can't spare any prototypes.

Mhm, yeah, seems the rumors about the electric systems only lasting 20min were true... :cautious:

The evidence would seem to support that. Valkyrie Issues & Aston Martin Update

T.50 is still very much in the development phase. Gordon is far too smart to put a car on the Goodwood Hill that he is not 100% confident in.

Driver assistance systems disabled in favor of the show?

It's easier to drive a BMW with all these systems off anyways, so that's no excuse. The first thing I do is when I step into a modern BMW is pressing that assistance button a couple of secs to fully switch all that nonsense off.

The thought of the T.50, Valkyrie, Project One and next gen Porsche/Ferrari/McLaren hypercar facing off is already warming my heart.
