Who would have thought that a modern day's supercar like the Lamborghini Gallardo can easily start spinning even in moderate speeds when the ESP is switched off, given the sophisticated suspension setup, the high-performance tyres and all the testing it has gone under.
In the above video, Steve Sutcliff attempts to steer violently a Gallardo, while traveling at a speed of 70 mph, simulating a rapid lane change, with and without the ESP turned on. The difference is, well, huge, as without the ESP a Gallardo travelling with a normal freeway speed, would end up out of the road with a massive spin. Things are quite different with the electronic nannies on, as the car corrects itself by individually braking whatever wheel it finds necessary.
