Best powerful small roomy luxury car?

Trying to get a car that my wife and myself would take turns driving. I would really like something roomy (for kids and stuff) and powerful and wifie wants something small (no more than 4.65m x 1.8m, pref 5 seats but with decent head room) as our parking lot is really crowded.

I realize it's a rather tall order already. But here is the tougher part. My wife wants a higher end car for a variety of weird reasons. Budget is over USD80K.

Is there such a thing at all?

So we looked around and realized that higher end cars are generally also huge. The small and roomy part seems to lead us to the B-class or 2 Series Tourer, but it's neither powerful nor high end.

It seems a slightly upsized B class with an AMG engine would have fit the bill, but there is obviously no such thing.

Any thoughts?

Just a quick look-up, but it seems a GLB just fits the bill. It can seat 7 and I think there are AMG versions but don't know what's your market.

Hey guys -- thanks for your input. Your proposals came pretty close but all missed 1 or 2 requirements (the X3 is about 8cm bigger than 4.65m, and 9cm wider than desired; the GLB came really close and we do have a GLB35 version here, but was just a hair too wide for her).

The reality is that my wife wants a different car than what I want and there seems to be nothing that really makes both of us happy. So we ended up deciding on two cars instead, a B class for her and maybe a GLE AMG 53 for me... A bit over budget but so be it.

GLB 53 is a very competent and fast small SUV… The current B class is a very under rated vehicle I don’t think you can go wrong with these two
