Picked up our new C 200 AMG Line (W206) yesterday in Eindhoven, EXACTLY one year after ordering. Initial delivery estimate was January 2022, then March 2022, and then August 2022. The only thing missing due to the chip shortage was the electric rear boot lid, which it should have had, but MB stopped fitting it as part of the "Premium package". This was announced before I placed the order, but my dealer failed to inform me. The price was reduced to compensate, and it wouldn't have stopped me ordering the car, so I'm not too bothered by it. Considering everything else that could have been missing from it, I'm pretty happy.

I've not had chance to drive it much due to work, but I'm already impressed by the ride. 19" AMG rims, passive sports suspension, and yet it feels super comfortable (that is helped by the excellent quality of Dutch roads). I'll be able to judge better in a week when I travel on the awful UK roads.

I think it looks fantastic. Really classy. I went with silver over black artificial leather. I also ticked the "night package", which blackens the chrome elements out, namely the window surrounds, trim elements at the front and back, the side mirrors, and also makes the rims bi-colour as opposed to all silver. I also ordered it debadged which makes the rear look smarter.

I'm not a fan of touchscreens in cars, but the MBUX must be the best of the lot. It's so configurable in ways that iDrive can only dream of. The layout of the main screen can be altered in quite a lot of ways, as can the instrument display. Everything works exactly as you expect it. And there are so many clever little features that are a joy to discover. For example, I don't have massaging seats, but there's a function which periodically moves the electric seats on long journeys to help you move a little bit in the seat. The ambient lights looked superb last night, and the "Digital Light" headlights are probably the best headlights I have ever used. The worked so well last night. I'm looking forward to seeing them show me more of their functions, such as highlighting pedestrians at night, and narrow lanes when going through roadworks.

The full spec is as follows:

Mercedes-Benz C 200 AMG Line
204hp/300 Nm
1,496cc Turbo, MHEV
9-speed 9G-TRONIC auto

Metallic High-Tech Silver
Black ARTICO artificial leather

It comes with a lot of stuff as standard, and if you tick the "Premium Package" option, you pretty much get everything optional that you need.

Some of the features include:

AMG interior and exterior package
DIGITAL LIGHT
Parking with 360 degree cameras
MBUX Navigation Premium
Memory package for front seats
Electric seats
Keyless Go
Ambient Lights
Augmented Reality for the Navigation
Illuminated door sills
Night package
19" Multi-spoke AMG rims

Congratulations. I had a C200 loan car for a couple of weeks and it's never failed to impress for what it is, bar the interior plastics. Even on our rubbish roads.

MBUX really is as good as it gets at the moment.

Congratulations Mat, your new car looks fantastic in that colour and with the multispoke wheels. Happy motoring man.

Congrats! Just be careful. In the UK sport suspension and 19 inch with low profile alloys is a recipe for cracked or buckled alloys.

Looking forward go hearing mbux vs idrive 8 comparisons in a few weeks time.

Wow finally congrats. So happy for you the car looks so beautiful. Wish you lots of happy miles. I am more of a lurker now but had to comment buddy. stay safe

Looking forward to reading your driving impressions as well as the comparison with the G21 with how it drives and comfort, space and user interfacing.

Congrats Matt and happy motoring on the new C-Class.
I can`t wait to read your review of MBux vs I-Drive 8, even if it's the very basics.

Hi Matt,
since you're owning and driving the W206 C 200 for almost half a year now, what are your thoughts, impressions and experiences with it? If you've got any spare time on your hands, I'd be interested to read them.
