Gone are the days when I will choose an X5 over GLE(ML).

Despite its faults the BMW still has the best interior and UI here imo.

The Mercs interior is extremely dated and the Lexus is overstyled and labored.

Except for the G wagon and GLC all MB trucks are undesirable and boring .

The GLE is the oldest car here, the ML which it is based on debuted in 2011 so its already 5 years old. The GLE was a mild update of the ML but in my opinion the front end looks good but rear lights not its best styling feature. The previous W164 ML Class looked better and the same i can say about the current X5, it doesnt look as good as the previous model, especially the front lights and grill. The Lexus is the newest car here introduced in 2015 so it is the most modern, but the styling inside and out is not too my taste. The BMW has the best interior design, but Mercedes the nicest looking seats. I wouldnt go for any of these cars, would rather buy a Porsche Cayenne or RR Sport.

And that is why I still have my E70 X5. My friend decided to trade in his E70 X5 for the new one and boy is he disappointed.
His two biggest complaints are the steering feel, and the seats. Took his X5 for a spin and there is no way I am giving up my old X5 for the new one.

The Bimmer has easily the best interior. Nice and clean, focused on the driver, flawless Infotainment.

My not liking the latest offerings from BMW doesn't equate to me being a hater- something that will make sense to you in due time.
