Z Series BMW Z4 Concept at BMW Welt

The BMW Z models are a line of roadsters manufactured by German automaker BMW. The Z stands for Zukunft (German for future), and has been produced in four different series with six generations consisting of roadster, coupé, sports car, and concept variants. The introduction of the M Coupé and M Roadster in the Z3 line marked the first of the Z series to have a high-performance BMW M variant. The first generation Z4 also continued to offer M Coupé and M Roadster variants. The current Z4 (G29) uses BMW's (B58B30) inline-six, its platform is the basis for the current Toyota Supra.

Since bmw is clearly intended to release the next Z4...i wonder if Mercedes will counter this with a new Slc because i heard rumours that the Slc is dead and no new model will come

it is just me or you will be able to configure two tone interior colours ?
as i see here, the left ,drivers place is in dark leather and the right, passanger place is in brown leather
I think its the first car to do that ?!

No mainstream car company comes even close to BMW's concepts. Period.
What MB makes in terms of concepts look like amateur hour compared to this.

That's a concept gimmick, and I believe I've seen it more on others. No way it's making it to production.

Glad you guys like them! :)

Yeah, the SLK (SLC) is apparently getting canned. And it's also hard to justify the SL since it has become somewhat redundant in the lineup.

I hate to make claims based on observation, but here in Munich I see more AMG GTs on the street than the current SL. In fact the last time I saw a current SL was today, a blue facelifted one. On the richest street in Munich, the Maximilianstraße, you'd expect to see some SL's - but nope, all there is are multiple AMG GTs and some R129s and R230s, but not a single R231 SL...

This car is a nice designers effort, but for my regret it will be still born. This segment is almost not existent anymore. The Z3 sold in almost 300 000 units, the first generation Z4 almost 200 000 units, the second generation Z4 almost 115 000 units. How much will this one sell? Maybe 70 000 units.

I like it. (y)

Ahh, Herr Wimmer, I only just saw that you have returned from your self-imposed exile. :)

I am particularly happy to see you here, your presence is always welcome.

This is another excellent concept car from BMW. I like the shark nose.
