Human

You. The Road. Nothing else.
The automotive category is one of the most popular on YouTube, and plans are afoot to bust it open even further. Get ready for a new automotive channel titled DRIVE that will be more than just another car channel.
Described as "a celebration of motoring," DRIVE will consist of original programming hosted by well known new-media motorheads: journalist Chris Harris, Matt Farah from SPEED's The Car Show, transcontinental speed record holder Alex Roy, Mike Spinelli and Ray Wert of Jalopnik, Leo Parente from Fast Lane Daily's SHAKEDOWN, and professional motorcycle crash test dummy Wes Siler.
Each of the hosts with their own areas of expertise will tell you about anything and everything relating to cars. From road trips and car culture to car reviews and motorsports, it's an absolute must see for every WCF reader and we strongly urge you to check out the trailer above and then subscribe here.
DRIVE channel launches in just a few weeks on January 2, 2012.

GT3 RS 4.0 final drive of the season

His comment on Twitter about the McLaren F1 ride:
"People will say the Macca was going fast, but it just wasn't. Just so loud. In the car all you hear is gearbox. On the vid, you hear engine."

Drive of his 4.0 before putting it away for winter

Chris Harris via PH said:
Most of you will have watched and read about this car several times already, so I didn't see any point in delivering another road test. Instead, I thought I'd just document the last drive I had in 2011 before plonking the car into hibernation.

Isn't that a bit fair-weather? Probably, but a few days before this was shot I was pootling down the M4 when a liquorice-coloured-cloud turned all three lanes into a river. The 4.0 is fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tyres which have just 4mm of tread - mine were a little worn. The ensuing wobble persuaded me that I either had to buy a set of regular street tyres for the winter months or leave it alone for a while. Tyres are expensive: decision made.

Stunning video, Chris is living the life, and he is an absolute top bloke for displaying the car at the showroom instead of keeping it under covers inside his garage.

That was incredible. Go Monkey! I just hope this YouTube Drive channel thing is sustainable (it ought to be). Oh and it does render all of Porsche's (excellent) promotional footage completely 2nd rate now. I hope they paid him for the publicity in some way or other.
