Nope it's a genuine insult. There's a lot of "historical animosity" between these two members to the point that it's become nearly impossible to moderate. Please rather not get involved. It's hard enough dealing with these two's feud only to have another founding member to get in on the act. I suppose I'll be moving posts later...

1) It's a forum. Anybody joining a conversation is the whole point of a forum. If you want to exclude other people from commenting then send a PM.

2) What was the point of your post other than to provoke LaArtist and derail yet another thread with MB v BMW fanboy nonsense? Grow up for God's sake. This forum is being ruined by this MB v BMW crap. It's tedious.

For what it's worth, Martin, I don't have any animosity towards PanterroR. I never have done, so I don't even call it a feud. However, he clearly has a SEVERE hatred towards me, and has done for the last ten years. It's occassionally resulted in him going beyond what could be called acceptable, and yesterday was probably the worst example of that. It actually upset me quite a bit; to say he wants to SPIT on me? That's pretty disgraceful, and nobody deserves that. I wouldn't dream of saying that to my worst enemy. I don't know why he's so angry. Croatia is a lovely country (I was there a few weeks ago), and actually drove past the port of Koper (Slovenia) where the M3/M4 video ws filmed, but that's not really relevant.

In the M3/M4 thread, I was trying to keep things on-topic. Some members were able to discuss their opposite viewpoint without it derailing the discussion. You were even part of that discussion. When it became clear it was impossible, I disengaged with dalab in an attempt to get the thread back on topic. This prompted PanterroR's abusive rant. I don't think you have either the inclination or the time to check the thread (not even sure the posts are still there), but if you did you will see that is how it was. Not only that, there were other people making EXACTLY the same points as me, including yourself, yet I'm the one who becomes the target. The notion that the new M3/M4 video hooning it around the port was a bit childish (your words) was not solely mine, yet I'm the one who gets the brunt of the abuse. Unfortunately my reputation precedes me (understandably), but if I'm allowed on here then it's going to do the forum no good whatsoever if people can't accept that, move on, and respond the post and not the person. It seems PanterroR, more than anybody, still can't accept that I'm on the forum, and if that's the case he should put me on his ignore list. It's quite simple. Otherwise these flare-ups will keep happening, and nobody wants that.

I'm here to discuss cars, and that's when the forum is at its best.

What fact have I been ignoring exactly, "David"? It's actually very simple:

1. I'm not racist. Never have been, never will be. Dumb accusation. They are the worst kind of people, also the most stupid there is. We clearly have two very different parameters for what constitutes a racist though. In my mind it's someone who thinks less of other people based on religion, skin color etc. For you I think it's more of a "if you don't hate Trump based on these silly quotes then you ARE racist". It's a stupid argument. Where did I write anything that's even remotely close to being racist? And why wouldn't you report it if it offends you?

You're the one who went overboard up in the first place by the way. I replied with a simple question to something you wrote about Trump in the corona thread and your response was very nasty. Everything escalated from there. Had you kept it civil, none of this would be happening and you probably wouldn't be banned in the first place.
You tend to converse with personal attacks which doesn't exactly scream *intelligence*.

2. You wouldn't get dragged into anything if you would refrain from personal attacks and keep the conversation civil, regardless of how you may feel about said person. And there's the heart of your problem; someone disagrees with you and you go bananas.

Exactly. I wouldn't have used that analogy with anybody else, but chose it because I knew it was a subject you have a particular interest in, and I thought it was a perfect way to get across my point.

As for this montana fella. I'm not going to directly engage with him anymore because it's just too tedious as he consistently plays the "strawman". He responds to my post with "I'm not racist. Never have been, never will be. Dumb accusation.", when I VERY DELIBERATELY said he used "racist comments", NOT that he was a racist. There's a difference but it's one which montana either wilfully ignores, or is too simple to grasp.

He then says, "Where did I write anything that's even remotely close to being racist?" There is a direct quote of montana literally near the top of this page where he defends Trump when he told three non-white, Amercian-born Congresswomen, to "go back to their own countries to help sort them out"; the idea that three American-born women can go back ANYWHERE from their own country seemingly lost on him.

I had this SAME conversation with montana SIX months ago when I was even known by a different username! It's utterly pointless because he's got no inclination to even understand how wrong the comments are. Hopefully nonsense like this stops permeating everyday life after 3rd November.
