As of the 991, I've become quite a fan of the Turbo/Turbo S. The 911 model line, viewed in its' entirety, is simply the Swiss army knife of sportscars. And now with the 992, I couldn't imagine opting for ANY other sports/GT automobile. No BMW M8, no Aston Martin DBS, no Bentley Continental GT...
Will be interessting, if they update the test, when the M8CS arrives. Would be more fair, when looking at power and price. I suppose the M8 CS comes near the 992.1 turbos S. Beating it? Not really
It's not really a fair comparison. The M8 is a lot heavier, less pricey and is down on power. Still does remarkably well by only being a second slower from 100 to 200 km/h.
Having said that, the time seems to be around 0.4 seconds quicker than the fastest time recorded for the M8 competition (100-200). That would apply to the Turbo S as well. Slope was probably a factor here. I'm really curious to see what the Turbo S is capable of, particularly to 300 km/h.
