Why are people not referring to it as "Christmas"? I'm aware that some people are not religious, including me, but it doesn't take away from the fact that it's CHRISTMAS.

I cannot be doing with this political correctness nonsense.

You are so totally correct Betty. If it's Christmas, it's Christmas and if it's any onther Jewish, Muslim or Hindu etc. holiday OR if your not religious at all - it does not change any fact about it.

And there are no politcal BS or correctness about it.

Thanks for straigtening things out. Happy holidays and a Merry Christmas to you too Betty:)

To be fair, it's not JUST Christmas. It's also the time of year to celebrate in many other religions, like Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Not to mention that Christmas actually has it's roots in Saturnalia and is celebration of winter solstice. So, Happy Holidays is the correct way to include EVERYONE.

With that said, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, or whatever you may believe in. Just enjoy the time with your family.
