Hello
Allow me to post this question, I am located in Finland and interested in buying a Mercedes-Benz or BMW from Germany which are not below 2012 year model.
The main issue is how to detect odometer fraud (clocking) since it is one of the most common problems, specially when buying the car from a German dealer.
All tutorials are mentioning steps in order to detect such as: service history, wear and tear, number of users..etc. But actually these are not an effective ways to determine whether odometer is changed or not.
Is there any official or private department that offers an online service to check before traveling to Germany? or a shop that car can be given for inspection to check first of all odometers then the rest of car functionality? Or even call Mercedes-Benz or BMW dealers?
I appreciate any help that you can offer
