Nestled within the carbon fiber and aluminum honeycomb chassis lies the same 4.7-liter V8 as the CCX, but output has increased to 910 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque, allowing the 2,832-pound Agera to hit 62 mph in 3.1 seconds and top out at over 242 mph.

Will be shown at geneva..
Its based on the CCX..exact same size, chassi everything.. Besides the tuned engine..and the inconel Exhaust system..

Imo it looks alot better than the previous.. much more like a final product..
But im still bummed that they are just updating this car all along..without any plans of something truely new..

Impressive car. 900+ and looks more refined than the CCX. Now the logical next step is AWD IMO. that 3.1s to 100 sounds like a lot of wheel spin.

Absolutely loved it. So they've finally left the stick behind & decided to go along with the steering-mounted flappy gear-box! The odo is busy but nice. :usa7uh:

Koenigsegg Agera R heads to Geneva packing up to 1,115 hp... and a ski box

Now, about that power - the Agera R's 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 makes a ridiculous 1,115 horsepower and 885 lb-ft of torque on E85. Fill the tank with 95-octane gasoline instead of the biofuel, and figure on "only" around 940 horses and 811 lb-ft. The V8's connected to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The driver harnesses that power from a lavishly appointed cockpit that meets all the hypercar techno-fantasy criteria.

The Agera R's body panels are draped over a carbon fiber monocoque whose rigidity is such that a roof is not required. Hence, it's removable panel that can be stowed inside the car. The owner of the example being displayed in Geneva is a skier, so the car is outfitted with a custom carbon fiber roof box developed in conjunction with Thule. It's a single-piece system that replaces the Agera R's standard roof entirely; when you get to the mountain, you simply swap the ski-box roof for the standard roof (which is tucked away in the cargo compartment).

Like the Zonda the Koenigsegg has only gotten better with age. That ski box takes the cake too. :D

That is Jon Olsson's Murci!
I hope this is his Egg as well. Too bad, I'd rather see him in a Pagani.

Wow, I've always loved Koenigsegg, they are just go goodlooking  Dont like the stripes though and the leds are a bit questionable..

Absolutely stunning!! ...and that's how an interior of a supercar is supposed to be done!

Great looking rear-wing and diffuser! What a car!

Lord have Mercy!!!! This thing puts me into a visual trance! Love it!!

None of that pop-up spoiler stuff, a genuine rear wing looks so appealing on supercars!

I think what's always appealed to me about this car is the aircraft-like windshield!
