To buy or not to buy?

Went shoppjng for a new map for the NAV system and was offered a really goood deal on a new A6 Avant, end of the line but I love mine, this one is all but identical except it’s quattro, which I would like.

Save issues such as "Diesel Cheatware" and underdimensioned piston rings on the il4 TSFIs' pre-MY 2013, there's little to fault regarding Audi C7 A6s'. The 3.0 TSFI V6 is said to be very robust. And although since succeeded by the new C8 models, the C7 remains relatively "fresh" with little indicating "obsolescence".

We have a 2014 A6 2.0tdi which has been a great car, with no problems are all, she’s been perfect, the opportunity to buy a cheap new Quattro 2.0 tdi was hard to pass up, so instead of buying a new sd card I bought a new car. I pick it up Friday.

Congrats Kiwi, This generation A6 is still a fine looking car, especially in the wagon version. Enjoy and keep us updated.

its a nice spec

MMI plus
Sports pack plus
Black pack
Black Edition
Technic pack
19 inch wheel (20 is too much for Norwegian roads)
Extra dark windows
Panorama roof
4 zone climate

The only item missing which I would have liked is electric memory seats.

It’s going to a long wait until Friday, but it will be a good drive home, I’ll take the long way.

Congrats.

Buying an Audi in Norway is like buying a nice apartment in Holland.... How much does this cost in Euros if I may ask?

Thanks and the answer is a lot. I got an €8k discount, so I’m happy with that.

The first drive was a 300km trip home from Trondheim, so far it’s pretty much same same but slightly different. The new one sits on the road better, it’s firmer, both cars have the spots suspension, it’s the difference between 18 & 19 inch wheels at play.

I do miss the reverse camera but the MMI plus makes up for that, the NAV system is significantly better, the kids love the panorama roof, I think it’s a better looking car, it floret silver like my A1, I like this colour, the dark windows and black wheels look great.

The S-tronic will take a bit of getting used to, I really liked the multi-tronic it suited the car and the shitty roads in my part of Norway.

The dealer said the tank is 73l like my old one, but I only managed to fill it with 63l. The old car would give me a range of 1100km from empty, the new one was 900. We managed 1206 km this week from a full tank, a mix of open road and city driving, in Sweden and Norway, I drove the last few km to the dealers on fumes. I hope the new one will get close, I guess as it’s quattro it won’t be quite as good.

Congrats, mate! It still looks better than the W213, G30 and dare I say even the brand new and beautiful A6.
This design was such a HUGE WIN for Audi.
There are only two cars I wouldn't mind buying so close to their EOP - C7 A6 and F20 M140i.

Congrats! How long are you planing to keep it? I hope residuals aren't too bad.

1100km/683 miles from a tank? What a marathon runner your old car was.

You might be able to retrofit a reversing camera. It usually only costs 20-30% more than from factory.

I plan on keeping her for 4-5 years. I was planning on keeping the older one for another 12 months, but I saw this one, I really like the C7, I’m not so enthralled with the C8 so why not the price was really good.

If you are not fussed about having the latest, discounts on outgoing model can save you alot of money. Here in UK it's not uncommon to see 20-30% discount depending on the car.

No I’m not that bothered with having the latest, our W203 was a run out model as well, we saved 100k nok on that car.

Kiwi, how much better are those LED headlights compare to those standard units on your previous car?
