It was a near perfect day to hold the Cars and Coffee event, clear blue sky, bright sunlight with the beautiful Sydney Harbor as the backdrop for a lineup of stunning exotics and timeless classics.

First time seeing the 300 SL in person and it did not disappoint. Timeless classic with just as much appeal as the current gen of super cars.

Candy red 650S, amazing color.

The star of the show IMO. the Mclaren 720s makes everything else looks dated and obsolete. You won't even notice the baby blue 675 LT next to it.

The 458 Speciale is my 2nd favorite. It is very low, wide and much more appealing than the 488.

Matt white 458, not my choice of color but it works very nicely.

Part 2 with some rather bold Lamborghini Aventador SV and this unique Porsche 911 R in off white, driven by an elderly gentleman.

Of all the cars, this one draws the most attention and crowd.

Not a SV but the 50th anniversary edition.

The interior color is a bit over the top though.

I always thought the standard huracan lacked some aggression at the front end but the Performante fixed the problem with the larger and more prominent front intakes.

Ferrari 275 GT, probably the most valuable car on show along with the 300 SL?

Sinister Corvette Z06, love the racing skull carbon graphics. The photo do not do this car justice, it is so wide, low with lots of complex surfaces and sharp creases.

Fully restored and modified Ford Mustang. Love that engine bay.

Old school Fiat 500 which got plenty of attention too!

The 275 GT as well as the Alfa-Romeo (Bertone) 2000 GT Veloce...Bellissimo !!

Found a few more photos.

Surprised to see the interior of the 300 SL wasn't maintained to the same extent as the exterior. The trims and the leather on the seats definitely needs some work to bring them back to life. But besides that it is fascinating to see how cars were used to be built, with real polished metal trim, switches and structs.

Engine bay of the Aventador SV showing the V12 in all its glory, long with the push rod suspension and carbon fiber cross bracing.

Those two, especially the Alfa, caught my eyes. The Gullwing is pure beauty.

Seeing those classics, it almost makes most modern cars there seem....I don't know the right word at this moment. I don't want to say vulgar, and I don't want to say not important. But I'd rather just pay attention to those 3 cars.

The few exceptions are that 911R and that white 720S, which looks particulary striking shimmering in that Aussie sunlight.

And, it goes without saying, Sydney harbor is quite the sight. I need to make my way Down Under sooner rather than later.

Really classy show it looks like and lots of nice variety.

I haven't attended a US C&C in years because the two types of characters that show up in big numbers are the teenage car spotters and people like this

That’s what I call a good day. The eggnog 911 R and the white 720s are my favourite. I bet the Aventador were the biggest crowd pullers.

Do come down and visit us mate! Now is the best time, summer, nice weather, nice beaches and nice girls, you can't go wrong.

Yes, most of the crowd and all the teenagers were attracted to the Aventadors like a magnet, especially to that metallic red SV convertible.
