On hand at a recent Mercedes "future tech" seminar in Spain was a sampling of the automaker's grandest machines: the BlueTec clean-diesel trucks. There they sat, in the pits of the Circuito Monteblanco road course outside Seville, free for test drives -- from the hulking Actros cab-over big rig to the beautifully ugly Unimog four-wheel drive. I ran for the keys.
