It seems like it was only yesterday when we crowned the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S of last year’s Best Driver’s Car event. But a new winner will take its spot soon because next Monday kicks off the 2014 Motor Trend Best Driver’s Car competition, powered by Mobil 1.

ou can take a peek of the action in the teaser video below. The short clip features familiar faces including host Carlos Lago and Randy Pobst, who will provide valuable and expert feedback on how the cars performed both on and off the track. As in the past, this year’s Best Driver’s Car competition will have a wide variety of cars, all with their unique strengths and weaknesses that will be exposed by the end of next week. We’ll introduce the contenders starting on Monday, September 22, before ending the week with another round of the World’s Greatest Drag Race. Until then, don’t miss the teaser video below and let us know which car you think will win the 2014 Best Driver’s Car competition.

Great to see Fiesta ST being one of the cars. Say's a lot about Fiesta to qualify among all these more expensive and powerful cars.

If the Camaro will be quicker than the Turbo S I will eat the whole Internet...
that would be a tragedy... But really, i doubt it, cause camaro is more likely to oversteer, its heavy and doesnt have double clutch... What might not mean much but at the end i believe that does a good difference... Now talking about that nismo gtr... Wait... I gotta clean myself....

It will be a fluke if the Camaro is faster around the track and beats the Porsche!!! I don't wanna see that happen as then the box of tissues will be coming out!!!

As an alrounder the 911 Turbo is in another league to the Camaro and definitely is worth the extra it is a Porsche after all. If value for money is what you looking for then the 911 GT3 is even better and would have still destroyed the Z28 in all disciplines

i wonder what laptimes the 918 and P1 would,ve gotten, sub-1:30?
The only test of the 918 at Laguna Seca that I know of was by Road and Track. And that (amateur driver) journalist was able to get to 1:38 min. Pretty impressive for a Joe Schmo that has no track experience. Speaks little about the car but I think a sub 1:30 is possible with the right driver.
