Straigth to the point.

A friend of mine has a 2011 VW Amarok 2.0 BiTDI
The starter engine and high pressure (injection) pump are gone. He bought the vehicle in Argentina, as is not sold in Bolivia with that engine. He contacted some dealers in Argentina, but they're asking 500 us dollars for the starter and well over 1000 usd for the injection pump (plus shipping and taxes)

A quick search on ebay UK showed me much lower prices, but mostly used parts...

So here comes the request: can anybody of you recommend me a decent dealer/store which sells online, and that could give us some advice to check part's compatibility?

Adrian, it's a 4Matic, but he's not sure about hp rating. On the tailgate it's says Tdi, but the engine has two turbos.... (a small and a larger one)

Do you know which other VAG vehicles share the same engine?

I'll check that later. What you can do for now is:
Check with the chassis number too. We do have this option for any kind of vehicle. You'll just have to wait for their response.
