DS 3 [Official] DS 3 Crossback

The DS 3 (formerly known as Citroën DS3 and DS 3 Crossback) is a luxury supermini initially produced by Citroën and officially launched in January 2010. Positioned below the DS 4, this was the first and entry-level model from the DS premium sub-brand, which was spun-off in 2016 into DS Automobiles.

I guess not just airports but even brothels were embracing a futurist avant-garde aesthetic in the 1970's France.

Yes they mixed that velvet boudoir Moulin Rouge carry overs with multi-coloured fractal and chevron and Renault diamond shapes and carpeted walls. The Citroen Chevron is very much imitated in many areas of industrial and interior design.

Finally we see Citroens that look like concept cars. The exterior is lovely distraction the samey crossovers on the market.

Where DS could have held creativity back is on the inside.

The layout of buttons is overdone like in the old Ford Fiesta. Neither is it ergonomic to have to reach all the way up to the screen in the DS3 to change cabin temperature.

Holy crap that's horrible!
Where do I begin? The headlights or the crazy interior?

PSA badly needs a new platform BTW, the way those front wheels almost go into the front door is not good.

Brave, they are doing a lot considering the parts sharing they have to cope with.

They (PSA) make almost 3.5 million cars per year. What do they have to cope with being the giant they are?

"The 3 Crossback is the first model based on the PSA Group’s new common modular platform (CMP) architecture, which will underpin every small car from DS, Peugeot, Citroën, Opel and Vauxhall in the immediate future, including the next Peugeot 208 and Vauxhall Corsa."

I was talking about DS. They have to make interior that pops out using very generic and cheap modules imposed by the Peugeot (and now Opel) team.

The only thing I don't like is the side profile, which will take some time getting used to. Other than that, I'm quite impressed. It's quirky, futuristic, and most importantly, it looks completely different to anything else on the market.

The window outline of the rear doors is nuts. I wonder what the visibility is like as the extra splodge of body pain by the b-pillar will create a blind spot for rear passengers.
