Fisker Official Fisker Ocean SUV production version

Fisker Inc. was an American automotive company founded by Danish automotive designer Henrik Fisker and his wife Geeta Gupta-Fisker. Launched in 2016 and based in Manhattan Beach, California, Fisker Inc. was the successor to Fisker Automotive. In early 2024, the company experienced intense financial difficulties, its shares were delisted from the NYSE, and ceased operations.

This is something I would have without hesitation, Henry's hand shows, it is very bully and the price below 40

Looks pretty good here...

If they get it on the market for kind of price Autocar are talking about, I think it could do very well.
Nice angles. I will look up the dimensions to guage the presence that it might have in the metal.

An absolutely excellent piece of design. It amazes me how this car makes far more expensive bonafide luxury automobiles (**cough** M-B EQS/EQE **cough"") look like a jigsaw puzzle with separate pieces not pushed firmly into place. The Fisker looks far more expensive than it actually is. Quite the contrary of what some "established luxury brands" have been presenting recently.

The tall rear tail gate, small rear shield and panelled third window makes the car look heavy and non-approachable.
If more than anything badass, I think it is purposeful, it points to aggression and it succeeds

An interesting review.

The Ocean appears to be quite a competent offering. Hopefully, the commercial success of the Ocean will far exceed that of the Karma (which I thought was an absolutely stunning piece of automotive design).

ALL-ELECTRIC FISKER OCEAN EXTREME ACHIEVES A COMBINED WLTP RANGE OF UP TO 707 KM/440 UK MILES,

THE LONGEST RANGE OF ANY BATTERY ELECTRIC SUV SOLD IN EUROPE TODAY
LOS ANGELES/MUNICH (27 March 2023) – Fisker Inc. (NYSE: FSR) ("Fisker"), driven by amission to create the world's most emotional and sustainable electric vehicles, announces

“From the beginning, we planned the Fisker Ocean to deliver the highest level of design, sustainability, innovation, usability, and range. We created a fantastic 5-passenger vehicle, offering our buyers range confidence and convenience in every trip,” CEO Henrik Fisker said. "This achievement is a major milestone for everyone at Fisker, and we are delighted the ranger exceeds our initial calculations,” Fisker continued.

As part of its mission to create the most sustainable SUV on Earth, Fisker harnesses the latest and most cutting-edge technologies, producing a powerful and responsive high-performance SUV capable of potentially driving from London to Glasgow or Paris to Frankfurt with range to spare.

The Fisker Ocean zero-emissions SUV combines beautiful craftmanship, ingenious
engineering, innovation, affordability, and sustainability in three versions: Extreme, Ultra, and Sport, with some trims sold out in several launch markets. Shoppers can reserve and configure the Fisker Ocean via the Fisker website.

Fisker expects European homologation from authorities by April 28, 2023, with customer deliveries thereafter. The first European Fisker Centers+ will open in Vienna and Copenhagen on April 11, 2023, with additional Centers+ and Lounges across Europe and the US opening throughout 2023."

Wow that's some pretty serious long range capabilities atleast accordingly to them or their testing!

Wonder what the Lucid Gravity will do!

This is going to be a serious contender, its design does not go unnoticed, and it seems to have the range to beat, I wonder how these start-up companies access this technological advance in terms of scope so quickly and so well when the big ones are still fighting thus?

Beyond the fact that Fisker was a pioneer with the Karma and a born entrepreneur who had his ups and downs, it intrigues me how out of nowhere they took first place

From what I have read it uses the Magna Steyr electric vehicle platform, which is the same one as the Sony Vision S uses. Styling is all Fiskers but the tech used in it is from Magna, who will also build it. Since Henrik doesn't need to build a factory or develop a chassis and power train, a lot of the costs which he would have incurred aren't happening, which means he can keep the price down.

Fisker's debut SUV delayed by lingering software problems, report says
Fisker has already delivered its first European-built Ocean SUV in Denmark, but the car has been returned as unusable, Bloomberg reported.

Fisker is facing delays on delivering its debut electric SUV to customers because of problems integrating software into the vehicles, according to people familiar with the matter.

The EV startup, which began production in November at contract manufacturer Magna Steyr's plant in Austria, needs more testing and troubleshooting of software, said two people who asked not to be named because the information has not been publicly disclosed.

The software is currently prone to glitches, the people said, estimating the issues could take months to iron out. As a result, they said some vehicles are only using a more basic software that limits the vehicles’ speed.

Fisker said in an emailed statement that the vehicle’s “software will be updated over-the-air during the year” after launching with a basic advanced driver-assistance system. “We categorically deny that the Fisker Ocean can be driven at only low speeds,” it said.

A representative for Magna declined to comment and directed all questions to Fisker.

The first of Fisker’s Ocean SUVs was delivered last week to a customer in Denmark. But the vehicle is already on its way back to Magna’s plant in Austria, according to one of the people, who said the software problems rendered it inoperable.

In February, the Los Angeles-based company-maintained production guidance of 42,400 for the vehicle this year, though it pushed back the completion date of testing needed for U.S. certification of the EV to March from February. The Ocean received European certification in late April and it’s still pending in the U.S.

The company which went public through a reverse merger in 2020, reports its latest financial results and production figures on Tuesday. Last year, Fisker said Magna could make as many as 50,000 Oceans in 2023, while reservations for the car have hovered around 65,000.

Struggles to make the jump from presenting a slick prototype to production are common in the industry, even for established companies. Tesla famously went through “production hell” to ramp up output of the Model 3.

German auto giant Volkswagen Group has encountered problems with the software on its new EVs as well, and on Monday tapped a new leader to oversee that division.
