F-Pace [Official] Jaguar C-X17 Concept is now F-Pace Crossover Reality

The Jaguar F-Pace (X761) is a compact luxury crossover SUV made by Jaguar Land Rover. It is the first Jaguar model in the SUV class.
I think the exterior is just so spot-on that I'd be willing to overlook the interior, and I'd wager a great many buyers would as well. For their first crossover/SUV, Jag has hit this one out of the park.

Found an interior shot, I like it.

I wonder whether that stitched material on the dash-top is real leather or PU-based synthetic which seems to be the in-vogue surface treatment of choice these days.

Actually, the interior looks better than the XE, especially the door and center console.

The one thing that annoys me about the new Jag interior is where the rotary control for the transmission is located. The dial and the surrounding panel take up more space than it needs. I can understand that a bit in the XE because that area is where the manual transmission lever and boot would be housed. But I seriously doubt anybody would get a manual transmission in anything larger than the XE in Jaguar's line-up. I much prefer how it was in the 1st gen XF where it was located to the side closer to the driver.

Makes it easier/cheaper when converting cars from RHD to LHD would be my guess for why they have gone this route.

This F-Pace is for the customers that cannot buy one RR Sport because price is more expensive, but they want anything more than one X3, GLC or Q5.

Indeed. I have seen the U.S pricing and it's very much on par with the X3 and could help Jaguar up its volumes next year. The waiting list for the Macan is long so the F-Pace will make an excellent alternative to the vanilla choices of medium sized SUVs.

Could this be the best Jaguar in production?

I really think it looks great, the interior is certainly better than the XE and new XF. This video highlights all the nice features inside and outside.
