It looks very nice, politically correct, and as I expected it to be. The interior is clean and simple, but not my cup of tea, unlike that of the previous generation...

PS. I hope we won't get crucified again, because the new A3 won't be in the frontpage in the next few minutes.

Nice, very nice.
I love the side profile, ultra clean, unclutered. Rear is ok, face is extremely boring, and too close to the other Audi's (not good if you have an A6/7/8); but at least it's not ugly like most hatches nowadays.

Interior... I still feel that something is missing, altough the stiching live things up. Not sure about the orange choice, though. Quite vomitiveif I'm honest. Looking forward to other colours.

Overall, way nicer than 1er and up to what I've see yet, A klasse too.

Regards.

Well hopefully you'll have your act together for the press release.:D

I love it! Best design of a hatchback since the Golf IV. No duminbing down, no silly details - just a good appearence that speak that brand's design lanuage. The interior is absolutley world class too. On the road it won't look like an entry level car as it basically is an A5 choped in half and with A6 tail lights. It's pretty clear that Audi is moving this car upwards and letting the A1 take the role as the entry level model. This renders the new 1-Series as a horrible mistake.

:usa7uh:

It's a perfect A3 and I absolutely love it with a capital "L". It's as simple as this: the A3 is, once more, the class of the class. Can't wait for an A3 vs 1er poll.

Nicer than the 1 Series, yes, because it is not possible to make worse, but nicer than the A Class, it is yet too early to say.

That's what I said what I've seen yet 8spy pics and the concept car). The A klasse detailing scream "look at me", this A3 is about pure understatement. IMO, a magistral play from Audi

It looks just like the current model. WTF is wrong with Audi designer's these days? First, they come up with an A8 that looks like an A4, then an A6 that looks almost like the old one, an A7 that's NOT a four door coupé, the hideous Q3 and the botched A4 and A5 facelift.

On the face of it you could almost think little had changed between this and the car it replaces but I bet when seen side by side there's a significate difference. I love it, it's a clean and purposeful looking design that has clear details drawn from the rest of the range.

And I absolutely LOVE the contrasting interior, finally Audi are introducing some flair into the coal face that has been the normal of its mainstream models. Class act and probably be the class leader .... again.

I LOVE it, this is one of my candidates to be my new car. It´s what it is, A5 front end with A6 rear end. But it really works.

Audi could of screwed it up if they completely re-designed the car. I don't think they felt they need to because of how ugly the 1 series is. Instead of messing with a formula that works, all they did is add some subtle details to freshen up the car to current times while keeping the basic A3 style look. I think it looks great. The 1 series is completely new and look how that turned out. I think the main rivals in this segment will be the battle of the A classes. Mercs A Class and Audi's A3.

Since I doubt the hatch version is going to be sold in the U.S. I'm am much more interested in the sedan as well. From what I'm seeing thus far Audi has done a great job with this new A3,both in and out.

I do not feel the same as I felt for the A3 Concept. I'd only consider this car if it came with 4 doors with frameless windows and 4 seats with the 2.5 TFSI and AWD, in other words, the production version of the A3 Concept. Concerning the A3 Production version I really hate the rims. I hate these rims on the RS5, S6, S7, RS3 and TT-RS. They are so ulgy.

Looks as expected, no surprises. Typical Audi design. The exterior looks much better than 1-series but interior isnt my cup of tea. Let's hope it drives a lot better than previous A3.

Sedan will be nicer I am sure. However it seems that the deep shoulder line will not make it to the production car

I do like it. I think it needs something else though. Maybe an S-Line kit or a panoramic sunroof. It's not overly fashionable on the outside (good) The inside is a really cool... Old school, yet modern ?

Don't really like the orange interior with the orange speaker grills. Contrast stitching is nice though. This will be popular in Switzerland where it's not cool to be flashy. (lots of Audi here are actually the S model debadged )

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
