Leinfelden-Echterdingen/Zuidland – Dutch haulage company Luijendijk & van der Wal has invested in a new Mercedes-Benz Actros 4163 LS 8x4 SLT for challenging heavy-duty tasks. The 630 hp truck features a spacious BigSpace cab and MirrorCam.
Managing Director and owner Ard Luijendijk: "This Actros offers us excellent technological solutions that only Mercedes-Benz trucks can offer in the portfolio. The special coupling and a permissible gross combination mass of up to 180 tons enable us to transport very heavy loads such as crawler cranes, shredders and screening machines."
Before ordering, the customer, Luijendijk & van der Wal, was able to be personally convinced of the vehicle's characteristics: A company from the same industry provided an Actros SLT that was similiar in design for a test drive and shared its experience from practical use.
"With its special configuration for heavy-duty transport, serrated radiator grille and sky blue paintwork, the truck fully meets our requirements in terms of performance and appearance. The drivers are thrilled about our new addition to the fleet," Ard Luijendijk adds.
