If I had the funds...
1) Porsche - 911 does almost everything right, it's an icon, with a frunk and rear seats there's solid amounts of cargo. In base or S form, still plenty of power though I suspect ride might be too firm for lazy Sunday morning type cruising, and now that I am at that age where my back is getting progressively worse, that now something I'd consider.
2) SL - iconic though it's status has faded in the last decade. Plenty of oomph and I suspect a more compliant ride. Prestige but not terribly obnoxious about it; an inline-6 in this appeals to me.
3) LC500 - just love this thing. Looks out of this world and I suspect with its tried and true NA V8, this thing will run forever if properly maintained. Love the interior but the human interface sucks. It'll be rare and it'll remain a treat.
4) tied - Portofino. Fantastic except for the nosebleed price.
4) tied - Conti GT V8 Cab. Though not included in the above list of contenders, thought I include it since the Portofino was included. The interior is so expensive-looking and precious, you want to make sure you take a shower every time right before you get in and drive as to not mess it up in any way. Looks like a proper cruiser and I suspect the ride can be adjusted to where the ride quality has a wide range of adjustability.
6) 840i - solid exterior design if a bit generic, solid interior if a bit standard BMW fare, solid features, crap resale. I'd stick with the I-6 engine for the smoothness, and like the SL, the great cruising potential. IMO, the 8er makes a more compelling case in GC guise than in 2-door form.
7) DB11 - I just don't find the exterior captivating, especially as I've considered its predecessor, the DB9 and Virage, to be proportionally perfect.
