Bronze, and it's not that bad ;)

BUT, the ones seen on the trailer look much better in ordinary la color. In fact, I absolutely LOVE them. Awesome CP rims, bring it on!!!

So will this be part of the Competition package ? Or did a customer just spec those wheels out?

Scott mentioned in a other forum

Bmw m4 > Bmw m4 competition package > bmw m4 gts > BMW m4 csl
So this should be the competition pack

Its the Competition Packet.
Using these wheels is an ideal way in increasing weight reduction, as we see on the M4 GTS.
Again the wheel spokes are thinner and use less metal but also the wheel carrier is drilled and excess metal is removed also. Its the little things that help in anyway possible. The new 7er also has it wheel carriers drilled.

That's what he did wrote in the forum which name we don't are allowed to write. Or maybe he could give us a answer here.

So there's still going to be a M4 CSL after the GTS? Seems like an overkill to me.

I mean, they basically did the same thing with the E9X. Remember the M3 CRT? While the CRT wasn't quite as hardcore as the CSL, it does give a precedent for having two high performance, lower weight models.

The interesting thing will be which car gets what, obviously the GTS will be an M4, but could it also be an M3? And if there is a "lesser" high performance (CSL or CRT type) model, will that be an M3, M4, or both?

I gave the answer in the CSL Hommage thread.

The ideas of the Hommage are a precursor of how BMW tend to launch the CSL sub-brand as an innovation lab fusing Motorsport and current industry innovation to enhance performance but with further exclusivity.
A concept will be unveiled in 2016.

The M4 GTS is a sign of progress but also that it is not the close of the chapter. The M4 GTS does apply further innovation to the M4 series as well as chassis adjustments to make the car a pure track car. Progress has also allowed the completed upper section of the car - bonnet, roof, bootlid and adjustable rear wing to be completely CFRP. No one else can do this kind of application. For Motorsport BMW have evaluated CFRP chassis sections for the M4 so it is not entirely unthinkable for further progress.

As well as testing the Water injection technology there are M4s evaluating engines with e-boost,As featured on the CSL Hommage.
CSL will have different aerodynamics, a more realistic adaptation of the CSL Hommage similar to how BMW apply the M235i Racing models so they will be distinctive from the standard and GTS M4.
But expect BMW M design packages such as M stripes similar to what Porsche offer for that piece of nostalgia.

What you are essentially looking at is the genius and innovation of BMWi but adapted for BMW M. Interpreted for different reasons in different ways . The same philosophy merely the merging of Motorsport, Performance and sustainability. Even with latest news which did not go down well in Munich about possibility of plug-in hybrid for the next generation M3/M4. For that idea to be implemented and evaluated then they would need a precursor to prepare for that inevitability.

Scott is also reporting about a M2 CSL from the forbidden site we dont talk about.

Sorry Just Me. But if you read at the top I make it clear so that I am not talking about the M2 more so the M4 in reference to the specifics of CSL as a new sub-brand within a brand.

Eh? You posted it in the M2 forum using the subject title "M2 CSL"!!

He may not have done that. I've noticed that the Mods on that site will sometimes take a post Scott made in one thread, rip it out, and then make a new thread. Pretty much for the sole purpose of being able to have a new story on the front page.

Fair enough.

That's a bit deceitful of the mods then. I wouldn't stand for that if I was Scott. Unless of course he likes the subterfuge....

Well, let me clarify a little. I've seen the mods make a new thread about Scotts post. I haven't noticed them creating a context like this before. That being said, I wouldn't put it past them.
