This weekend I attended a great event where local wealthy motoring enthusiasts come together with their toys...and allow the non-1%'ers to enjoy the sights of these dream machines.

Here's what was on show...

Yep, it sure would be amazing!

Quite fascinating listening to some of the conversation the owners were having.

I wasn't expecting to see the Huayra there... but I slowly rolled on by me....and boy let me tell you.... my opinion didn't change at all. It still ain't pretty!

The overall shape and size are classic supercar of course, but the front end still has that terribly dull expression. The detailing of course is fantastic (see the side mirror photo I took).

As for the LaFerrari and P1. Well, there were far too many people crowded around both of them to really analyze and admire. The P1 certainly looked more visually dramatic, but the Lafa is just stunning, especially when parked alongside the Enzo. However, silver definitely isn't the best color for a car/brand as passionate and sporty as Ferrari.

Next weekend I'll be heading out to the United Sport Car Championship (USCC, formerly the American Le Mans Series), so it'll be another day of amazing sights and sounds! Photos will follow. :wthumb:

Fantastic photos mate, thanks for sharing them with the forum! I don't think I will ever get the chance to see these super cars in person. Just how and wide does the P1 and LaFerrari look in real life, compare to the 650 and the 458? What did the owners say about their hyper cars and how does it compare to the other cars they have owned?

Ah, Santana Row, I take my dog there for dog meet ups, he has probably even peed on the exact same spot...lol :D

Hahaha, high class buddy! :D

The Cars & Croissant event is held on the last Saturday of each month. There were a number of Porsches as well, your car would definitely wouldn't look out of place at such an event.

Here's a great video from the March meet.

Plan a trip over here.! :D

Both the LaFerrari and the P1 do stand out from their respective smaller siblings. They both seem larger than their siblings in terms of dimensions, especially the LaFerrari over the 458. There's something very beautiful about the LaFerrari, especially when you can do a side-by-side comparison with the Enzo. You would think when it comes to such a high performing car, the Ferrari beauty would have to be compromised to stick with the 'Form follows Function' approach, but the car is a perfect blend of aggressive and sensual styling. The P1 on the other hand is refreshingly radical. It's instantly recognizable with it's headlight shape, massive rear wing and that 'open' rear-end design. Both cars are seriously low (no surprise), but don't seem overly wide. Of course for a 2-seater supercar with a compact cabin they may feel wide from inside, but the overall width and length are really no different to your average family car. I guess in photos I've seen I've expect the LaFa to be this long, excessively wide, visually dominating car ...but in actual fact it really isn't that big.

If I had to choose though... I think I like the drama of the P1 more. IMO, in terms of visual appeal, it's Ferrari equivalent would be the FXXK. The LaFerrari is gorgeous, but the P1 is "F*ck yeah, now that looks fast!".

As for conversation, I didn't really hear much actual car talk between the owners. They were more focused on business discussions and their recent vacations... or sports. I did hear one guy (who I think was the owner of the Enzo) say that he test drove the LaFerrari and was absolutely astounded by its power. He said that with the Enzo when you give it the beans the car struggles for traction and then gets going, while with the LaFa it's absolutely instant and insane power, even when just giving it half-throttle. He didn't seem like a Chris Harris / @martinbo motoring guru, more like a business man who enjoys owning such cars.

speaking of car meetings, there will be one in norway 10th of may on "Øvrevoll horseracingtrack"

the meeting is held by NSK (norwegian sportswagon club) and anyone with a sportscar can drive in to show the car

Couldn't agree more regarding the P1 and visual drama. I recently saw a P1 parked on street, and it almost shut down the street because of the attention it drew.

@Beemer B773ER Hey bro! Those are awesome pics. Can I make a request? Next time the event happens, can you let me know? I'll roll out there too!

Thanks @NarutoRamen !

The event takes places on the last Saturday of each month. Here's the event website with dates and other info:

Parking at Santana Row is free. I'd show up a bit early (maybe even 8am) so you can watch (and LISTEN) to each car roll in. The fact that it's in an enclosed' shopping area, the sound just echoes through the streets.

Hotness! Thanks for sharing. Always glad to see people enjoying their love for cars together.

That Huayra & LaFerrari make the rest look like so timid & coarse. Such a special duo that.

Thanks! I know exactly where Santana Row is. I was going to go to an event in Feb but it was raining that saturday and it might have been rained out. Since I'm in Sac and even in SF, I didn't wanna risk driving all the way there for nothing. LOL. Now that the weather is better. I'll make the trip.
