Both look good, but that X7 is far more commanding and gorgeous.

Its silhouette is great but I would have loved to see a sharper and little more coherent front. And my major gripes are still with the taillights which are indisputably generic. I think a solution along the lines of the 3er (also deviating from the classic BMW formula but slimmer and polarizing) would have given the X5 a sportier touch.X5 looks far, far superior to me.

I absolutely agree : The taillights of the X5 are its weakest point, way too generic.

If you watch carefully,you can find many consistency vibe and style between X7 and 1st generation X5 which was really a outstanding works in history,far superior than rivals at that time.
