2013 Infiniti JX Concept: 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance

X5 is still the king of SUVs. Ml far behind and this thing far behind even than the ML... Jeez learn how to make a proper SUV competitors!

This SUV will compete directly with the ML and X5. Yes, I'm sure "some" folks here can't even imagine a Infiniti being compared to their beloved Germans, but Infiniti has a lot to offer. Other than then AMG and M offerings I would take this over both the ML and X5 "design" wise. I do love the new ML, but I doubt it will have the space that this has. The X5 looks nice, but I'm sure the price on this model will be cheaper and could possibly be more powerful.

I'm sure the ML and X5 sale numbers will be far greater, but this is still is a great job by Infiniti.

To me this isn't about German VS Infinite at all, it's purely design related. That thing has looks only a Mother, er Grandmother can love, IMO.

Sure, same can be said about the CLS, or any BMW developed under Chris Bangle, or the Maserati Quattroporte, or the Jag XJ, etc. etc.

Gimme a break, anyone who puts the W212's (or any of those mentioned above, for that matter) design quality in line with that Infiinti, needs their eyes (or more likely, taste) checked. Put the ML next to this JX, and I you'll no doubt notice the more refined and advanced design on that as well.

Some people will like it more than a Ferrari, of course it's matter of opinion, but there are semi-tangible ways to judge design/art in an objective way.

As for the GLK or R-Class, or 5 GT, I have to agree, could be in the running with this Infiniti. :D

And there I was saying that Infinite does a better job at design than Lexus. :t-banghea

Both the new GS and Infinite share an affinity for random squiggles and ugly grills.

I do like the G-Coupe and feel that if they just turn it up a "notch" for the next gen, it could be a pretty beautiful car. I was really disappointed by the interior in it though, I could literally wiggle the entire centre console. You'd need to be Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime to do that in my E-Class, lol.

Infiniti expects the JX to become one of its large-volume products, competing against models such as the Acura MDX and Lexus RX.

LOS ANGELES -- Infiniti's new seven-passenger JX35 crossover will start at $41,400 when it reaches showrooms in March as a 2013 model.

The three-row JX35 will come in two versions, a front-wheel-drive model starting at $41,400, including $950 in destination charges, and an all-wheel-drive version that starts at $42,500. Both models will come with a 265-hp 3.5-liter V-6 engine and continuously variable transmission, the company announced.

Infiniti expects the JX to become one of its large-volume products, competing against models such as the Acura MDX and Lexus RX. It will be manufactured at Nissan North America's plant in Smyrna, Tenn.

Acura's popular MDX, also a seven-passenger crossover, is priced starting at $43,815, including freight. But the MDX comes standard as an awd model. The Lexus RX starts at $39,950 as a fwd model, including freight.

Ben Poore, vice president of Infiniti, said he expects about 65-70 percent of JX sales to be the awd version.
