Truth to be told, I don't care about this segment at all. I can't picture myself driving something from this segment.

But I gotta give it to BMW. The X6 looks so much better than the GLE.

I saw an X4 for the first time yesterday. If the X6 is a pumped up X4, then I am certainly happy with my vote as it's just delicious!

The GLE still looks too bulbous to me.

Yes but in pics because I have yet to see it irl.
There's this guy with an X4 35i M pack close here so I see that one quite often.

The entire rear end and side profile of the GLE is seriously horrendous. Coupled with the interior.......just no.

Please, don't shoot the messenger!!! :)

That AirMatic ... I looks like this GLE Coupe rides VERY high in the comfort(?) mode.

Thanks, EnI. I've just realized what my problem is with the GLE dead front on and rear on... the side of the glasshouse has much less tumblehome (the inward cant of the side DLO) than the X6 making it look much narrower and taller than it needs to. Front and rear 3/4 views do not highlight this trait and are thus the GLE's most pleasing angles.

Dead rear on sight ... Horror! :D
Just look at the top of the roof on GLE Coupe  ... WTF?
It looks like Frankenstein's head / forehead: the edges are squared instead of rounded!
Very, very, very weird and unappealing! :wacky:

And the body (forget the ride height) of GLE Coupe looks too tall & narrow from dead rear / front on sight. X6 appears to be much lower & wider and thus much more muscular, sporty & aggressive.

What X6 suffers from are too small wheels and too big gap between the wheel & wheel arch. Yet GLE Coupe suffers from the same issue when AirMatic is set to higher (off-road & comfort?) levels. But at least the gap can be reduced (the suspension lowered via AirMatic settings) while in the X6 case the gap is more or less fixed.

Just ignore the first few seconds ... Then you'll get the full exposure ... Battle of the a$$es, part 2: :D
