If efficiently translated into sustainable high volume serial production-yes, they can certainly be game changers.

This is an amazing achievement for an electric powertrain, especially when the heat on the track was over 35degC, not ideal for continuous efficient electric power. If the temperature was like 22degC it could would have been perfect and the car can probably achieve even quicker times and higher speeds.

Sounds like tremendous achievements. I am also struck there are two operational record-setting examples of a car that is supposed to be a concept. This tells me the concept and the production are closer that one might have thought.

I think the difference mainly is the outlandint bodywork and interior. The powertrain I think should be a lift and shift situation.

Literally an absolute game changer for all countries where the speed limit is.. <checks notes> double the actual speed limit in most of Europe... which is.. no where.

I mean that is why I said Autobahn truthers lol. I mean why do we buy fast German cars at all outside of Germany? Not like any of us regularly hit 155mph on the regular anyway. Most of us barely take it past 70 on a country backroad. Its not rational. People are just comforted by the knowledge that it can.

More to the point, while its not very meaningful for most other drivers, it is a good litmus test for the drivetrain. If it can handle sustained speeds in excess of 200kmph for 7 continuous days along with 850kW charging, without any issues with heat generation or whatever, means that you can be reasonably certain it'll take you up to Scotland from London at 75mph without any issues.
A lot of purchasers of performance cars (read: people who like to complain about EVs) worry about EVs losing performance with continuous use, so I guess this was done to try and alleviate those concerns.

Lets hope all this drivetrain tech makes its way to production without issue.

There is an indication that the hood vents of the GT XX concept will appear on the series production vehicle. Hope not. IMHO, they are massive eyesores. I'm beginning to experience an increasing sense of apprehension regarding this car's design although the tech should be really impressive. Formerly seriously stoked. Now...not so much at all.

Actually, there is a sheet of wafer-thin plastic cladding on the hood's surface. With holes drilled into it.
