Kinda random.. China is getting an Audi A7L Shooting Brake, based on the C9 A6 Avant.
Is this an Audi or an AUDI? If it’s an AUDI should it not be visually different to an Audi? Or is AUDI to market alternative Audi’s in China as AUDI’s?

I clearly wrote Audi, not AUDI. AND posted it in the Audi A6 thread. Stop tryna make things confusing when it's not.

Their C8 A7 was such a gorgeous car. Perfect proportions. I’m a little upset that Audi did not sell it in other markets.

Hello,

The RS6 will have a V8 engine producing 730-750 hp, developed in collaboration with Porsche and then modified by Audi.

The test cars had the V6 engine, but apparently they were failing one after another, hence the switch to V8, and Porsche is doing most of the work.

But it will take a long time; it should be ready by the end of 2026.

The V6 had various problems; it simply had too much power and technology, and Audi couldn't manage it.

The only question is when he'll arrive; I personally don't think they really know yet! 😅

The engine needs to work first, and then we'll see, but the plan was a presentation at the end of 2026 weeks ago, and then the first ones should be available in spring 2027.

I then said that this was taking far too long, unbelievable actually, but Audi had lost a lot of time with the V6, hence the move.

My last sentence was that M GmbH was pleased, and they had to agree with me.

The M5 will already have its facelift by the time the RS6 arrives.

Posted on a German forum.

Let's see if this news is true

The Time Machine is obviously standard, 1st of may 2000 or I guess they didn’t put an automatic clock in this car.

This was a stupid decision TBH.
It's incredible how Mercedes makes not one but two unforced errors, failing spectacularly with the C63 and not offering the E63 V8, historically the two most profitable and best-selling segments of any "special" division, leaving the way free for the competition to print money.

Looks like their initial plan was for EQE to be the new Electric-era AMG E-Klasse.

Interesting to see the first pre-production prototype of the C9 RS6 sedan. I was beginning to wonder whether the C9 RS6 would be an "Avant Only" affair. I also wonder whether the RS6 etron is actually as "dead" as has been more recently rumored.

Good timing for it now that Mercedes doesn't offer a V8 E63.

😬 idk about that chief.

RS 6 has been testing with a V6 for the past year and a half.

Allegedly they are going to make a decision by end of year if they should switch to a V8 mid development but it doesn't look promising.

V6 is in the upcoming rs5, rs6 i hope its a done deal for the v8
My source told me for months that the RS6 will be hybrid V8, of course it's not confirmed yet and my source can be wrong but it's VERY rare.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
