Wow, I don't know what I was doing when this thread was active. Never saw it. That Gallardo looks stunning! I like the color too. A real nice threesome. Do you have any pictures of your 930 and 993?

This is the best picture I have of the 930. It was in a storage space with 5 other Porsches when I bought it. I had it shipped to New England and it is in the early phases of an extensive restoration.

You didn't ask for it, but here is the turbo 3.6: last year for rear wheel drive, first year for big red brakes, only year for this engine.

Thanks drronh!:t-cheers:
The Guards Red 993 looks fantastic and so does the, what I think is also Guards Red, 964. Thanks for including the 964, I was interested in that one too, just had short in my thinking when I wrote my previous comment. The 930 looks like silver? Anyway, congratulations on the fantastic collection of cars you have!
Just out of curiosity, is your 930 stock, or does it already have some mods? If not, are you having any mods done on your 930?

I was going to mod the 930 3.3 engine during the re-build, but I changed my mind. It will be totally stock. I purchased a K-27, intercooler, 964 cams, Mahle 3.4 cylinders/pistons, 1.1 bar wastegate spring, fuel enrichment kit, 8:39 ring gear & pinion, and B&B headers/exhaust, and now I'm not using them. So, if anyone is interested...

I think having the car remain stock, and as close to the original as possible, is a very good idea from the point of view of maintaining a high resale value. At least you will always have the "real thing". And since you have so many, a stock 930 sounds like a perfect member of your car family.

Regarding the components you now have for sale, they are pretty much the same as what I already have with the exception of the 964 cams. I know I have some RUF cams but don't know if that would actually be close to the 964 cams or not. Since mine is already modified by RUF, I will also try and keep mine as close to the RUF original as possible. I have a K27 turbo and am thinking of replacing that with a hybrid K27 HFS, thinking that would not impact the originality issue too much. I would also need to replace my fuel distributor with the ImagineAuto modded one for the K27HFS. But that's just about it for my modifications.

Any thoughts/ideas/opinions or advice you may have would be humbly received. Feel free to comment.

The RUF BTR used the Mahle 3.4 c/p as well and I also have the 1 bar spring at the wastegate. One more thing that I have already done is have my WUR made adjustable. I want to get the Motec O2 sensor and be able to adjust the AFRs myself.

You have probably been in the Porsche world for decades so please excuse me if I, the newbie, am telling you something you already know, or in fact have already done. If I had those parts to sell, I would definitely put them up for sale in the Rennlist classifieds. Seems like there is a constant flow of folks doing mods and needing parts like that on that forum.

I really liked the looks of your guards red 993 TT. It just looks so beautiful. I read someone describing the 930 as "the dirty b*tch" and the 993 as the "nice girl". Of course they were applying the description as much to the behavioural characteristics as to the looks, but I'd say that the "nice girl" description would definitely apply to the way your 993 looks. As I've mentioned in the past, a 993 TT will be added to my garage at some point. Right now though I would have to sell an extra property that I have in order to do that and I don't want it that bad, so it can wait a bit.

The 964 is a great car to have as well, especially the 3.6 that you have. They are rare and will always command top dollar. To be able to have that as well is just unreal.

Once again, congratulations on the dream garage!:t-cheers:
