Just a random poll.

You are looking for approval for having bought the 2014 Carrera S; congratulations and enjoy it. (y)

If I had to pick it would be between GT4 and new Carrera. The GT4 is amazing but a bit too boy racer. The Carrera base is what i would get and then put a software tune on it.

All depends on the use of the car; as a third recreational vehicle I'd opt for the GT4. For something to go touring in and potentially use for commuting once or twice a week - base 2017 Carrera. [Though not the one above as its mileage is high for a 2017 model.]

I think the one with the best investment potential as well as being the most fun to drive is the GT3, followed by the GT4 and GTS. Although I think I would buy the GT4, just because it's not a 911.

Also holly crap are these cars cheap, you could easily double all those prices for the same cars in Norway. For example this 2016 GT4 cost 1,595,000 NOK, which is almost 200,000 USD. Porsche Cayman

As Martin said, depends on what the car is for - weekend fun car or daily? 997 GT3 would be one end of the spectrum and I am guessing 991.1 Carrera S/1.2 Carrera on the other end. And GT4, the jack of all.

I actually have a 2014 991 Turbo S
If you are adding to a 2014 Turbo S, I would get the 997 GT3.

GT4. And you have a great fit for the Turbo. GT4 for weekend function, Turbo for everyday...

Amazing how well the 997.1 GT3/Turbo & all 997.2's are holding their values. I've been thinking of adding a 997 Turbo, but the one's in mint condition are always higher than I anticipate.

That's a stupendous deal for that 991.2. Looks like the GT4 is already sold.

If you looking to add, then it's either GT4 or GT3 - with a test drive required to decide which experience you prefer.

You voted for the 2014 Carrera S, so that's the one you want and you want our approval. As I said before, congratulations and enjoy it.

but I am not car shopping... it was just a random poll to stimulate discussion for fun

If you want to drive a stick, I would get the GT4. Capable of taking you to work (tires and weather permitting), and will be a fun weekend car/track car. It also has 2 trunks (front and back).
