Interesting. So the 80s Vantage styling, V12 and a manual box are worth a 1M+ price, and will instantly sell out all 110 slots, huh? So why aren't their standard cars like that then?

Well, it's nice that for their rebodied DB11 they at least bothered to develop a manual gearbox - which is more than could be said for the LP800 Countach, for example. Still a pretty shameless money grab, though.

"How many Aston Martin Valours are being built – and what does it cost?

It celebrates 110 years of Aston Martin, thus 110 examples of the Valour will be built. Production starts at the Gaydon HQ in quarter-three of 2023, with first deliveries expected in quarter-four.

Surprisingly, Aston hasn’t concurrently announced that production is sold out – but we’re told it is currently in the process of allocating each example. Which rather suggests those 110 slots are over-subscribed.

Pricing will be £1m-£1.5m, with the variation related to the unique nature of each one produced.

The Valour will be on static display inside the Aston Martin hospitality area at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed."

Sucks to be poor.

Seriously though, this is about the only car on the market (at this level) at the moment that I'd add to my dream garage. I'd take this over the Valkyrie 99 times out 100.

You could buy an Aston Martin Valhalla and have an Aston Martin DB12 as daily instead!

Pricey though!🤔
It is but £1m+ cars are increasingly common. Hypercars have reached diminishing returns. Adding another 300-500hp will make little difference on public roads.

However, a unique body limited to 1-600 cars has huge curb appeal on public roads. There isn’t a shortage of people who are willing to pay for this level of exclusivity. Call it automotive haute couture!
