Subjective things will always be based on personal preference. Some of the initial reports like the steering feel like it but I will admit that most don't like it. All based on personal opinions. In the end, anyone who is interested in this car should test drive it at the very least to get an idea if they want to spend that kind of money on something they may not be happy with. If Quattro is saying that it feels similar if not better than the M3 and I assume he probably drove his M there for an almost back to back comparison and that is good to know for what it's worth. Sunny questions his credibility and I totally understand that too. I'm sure in a month or maybe even less than that we will be bombarded with more and more reviews and all assumptions and questions will be answered.
As a past M3 owner I know what it's steering feels like and complete agree with the opinion of Quattrofun. The only odd thing that I have found from these reviews is that most prefer the 'comfort' setting on the dynamic steering, I think this is down to their limited time with the car because over time I have found that the 'auto' setup offers the best compromise between weighty 'dynamic' setting and the overly light 'comfort' setting, plus it offer enough feel to let you know when the tyres are struggling without making the steering feel busy on a bumpy road.
One thing I have to agree with you on is that things like steering feel is objective, what pleases one person won't necessarily please the next. The same is true for most things that require personal taste, including engine note among other things, at least with raw data you can understand this and appreciate what it means and it does help you narrow down your list of possible hopefuls to a small enough handful worthy of a proper test drive from which should help you decide which one suits you best.
