Audi RS6 vs Mercedes E63 AMG review - AutoExpress

100-200 kph: 8,8 s (RS6) / 8,6 s (E63)
Sachsenring: 1:39,5 (RS6) / 1:39,0 (E63)

It's not "smoking", but neither an RS6-win. ;)

I think the RS6 can hits better in 100-200 kph. What is your opinion about this video? Not so good example, I know :)

It is irrelevant, since this was a head-to-head comparison: at the same conditions the RS6 is quicker at the start thanks to its shorter gearing, after that the E63 S keeps up.

Ok ;)

Don't twist my words now.
it kept equal steps with it, was faster to 100/h, and it's great work. That's what I meant. The underdog showed its muscles.

I see, so your "Audi 1-MB 0" score goes for the 0-100 kph time only... let's continue:

- 100-200 kph: Audi 1-MB 1
- Sachsenring: Audi 1-MB 2

j/k
Yeah, let's continue: Audi 560hp(3,9) - MB 580hp(3,6) and the RS6 is still faster to 100km/h.
You really wanna do this? Get out of the sandbox now.

Lol, why's the anger?

As I said before, the RS6 is quicker off the line, because of its shorter 1st, and much shorter 2nd and 3rd gears, that's all.
(This is a basic advantage of cars being built with the 8-speed automatic). It's usual, no surprises here.

And the real-world power-to-weight ratios for the cars are: 3,55 (AMG) and 3,64 (RS6).

We all know people floor the throttle from rolling start. 0-XX is so 80's.....

0 to something is part of the cartest in the world, and whitout 0 to something there is no cartests. Every number is important when you test the cars, not just the rolling starts, not just the tracktest, but also a straight line speed test - 0 to something. When you test the car in the rolling start, like check the videos on youtube, I don't trust them all, because most of them are not the pro-drivers, and whitout the testdata in paper and the real videos, like most of the carmagazines test the cars, etc, IMO.

Its only intresting when we try to defend our favorite cars but in the real world, those numbers play a small part for the majority of the buyers.
What are the odds that you are going to race E63S with your RS6? Heck, let's be honest here, only a few are going to explore their sportscar to 100%.

Sure everything is interesting, but still in every tests whit many drivers etc, etc get different numbers in time and different test. When I've see head to head comparison tests, I wait few years when I'm sure which car is faster in different categorys, just like in the rolling starts.

Yes, that is true. Edit - But still many cars, like the BMW M5, for example in fastestlaps.com, has did get it performance data after 2011, when it comes in production, and it takes a long time to get good numbers in the test, sometimes less. And what are the odds that you've race against what? Nothing. But many think cars is just like people, you want to know it 100 % then you want to drive it, if you want :D.. Damn, I'm drunk, once again :D

Τhe only real world use I've found so far for the 0-100 time is when wanting to join a highway or main road with thick traffic from an intersection, so you want to go up to cruising speed as fast as you can. I think I've found myself in such a scenario only once so far in 2013, so it's certainly too uncommon, but not just for bragging rights.

That is not cool! Why do you get so hostile? We are just discussing cars!

Wow! I really expected the Audi to walk away on this one. All that power, plagued with understeer...
I would still take one though. I would never push my car that hard where I live.
