IMHO, this SAIC AUDI-E Sportback is visually far more interesting than any of Audi's "homegrown" sedan/Avant offerings.

SAIC AUDI will be presenting 2 further vehicles over the course of the next year or two. Reported an SUV and an A5-sized fastback sedan.

Audi needs to become sexy or invigorating again. Walking into their dealership feels like visiting a showroom for Miele appliances.

Audi used to do things like this. Look at that interior. The details, colour of leather etc is that people now pay Bugatti and pagani millions for!

Just taking the bread-and-butter A4 into account - the B7 was probably the last of the exceptionally built interiors. B8's was a step back in quality, B9 a better effort and B10 is now just...

The TT was a revelation with its interior design and quality. It had a better interior than any Porsche or Lambo at the time of its launch. Audis during the late 90s and early noughties were built with supreme materials. Its a major shame they followed the same route as BMW and Mercedes with cost cutting and more and more cheap plastics.

The new A4 interior is dumb. I have sat in it. Instead of classic window switches on the doors, there is now a huge gloss plastic panel. To make it worst it's also brightly illuminated which is totally unnecessary and distracting.

I would rather drive a XM than any of the new generation Audi.

I like this new AUDI E5 Sportback. I personally think its the kind of styling direction Audi should use for all its models. Its a massive breath of fresh air for the brand. The interior also looks much much better than the Euro designed new Audi models.

Maybe I'm biased because I own a B8 but the interior build and material quality feels far better to me than most of the B9s and B7s I've been in.
