M - Infiniti has really begun to shine over the last several years. Infiniti has a lot more exciting products and more exclusive designs. Their products have really focused more on sport, while maintaining a luxurious appeal. While I haven’t driven the current M56, I have driven the previous M45 sport as I was blown away. This was even after test driving the previous E-class and 5 series models. The performance of their V8 was nothing short of incredible and it handled very well. Their interiors are very unique and have exceptional quality. The latest M looks very exciting, yet sophisticated. More power, more technology and a more exciting design. The curves give it a very impressive look.
CTS - The Cadillac is a very interesting model. It is truly nowhere near as sleek as the other models, but it has done a lot for Cadillac. The V-series has even impressed those who would have never even looked at Cadillac before. The interior design is very simple yet straight to the point. Cadillac has a very aggressive exterior, which gives it plenty of road presence. It really gave us hope that American automakers can think out of the box. No my choice, but a good job by Cadillac.
XF - Jaguar has really had a big turn around and it started with this car. Very impressive how Jaguar was able to capture the idea of the CLS and produce such an incredible designed care. It manages to be sleek, elegant and command your attention all at the same time. The XFR has really gotten a lot of attention. The car is a real winner for Jaguar and will do much more for the company then the S-type ever did.
GS - The Lexus seems to be the quiet one…literally. It doesn’t really stand out and is not as in your face as the other models. On the other hand I have driven the car and it is very exceptional. The ride is quiet and manages to be very smooth..might not be as impressive as the LS, but still a good choice. The design is very simple yet attractive. The navigation is not nearly as complicated as some of its rivals. It’s a well made car for those who don’t desire a sporty ride.
RL - Acura needs a V8. Although most could care less about it, the Acura is still an above average car. The interior is unique as well as their latest designs. The RL is far less attractive then the TL and previous generations looked way better IMO. I still don’t believe it’s a bad car. I think Acura should consider a redesign ASAP, but overall still not a bad pick for someone who could care less what others think.
My Choice: Infiniti with Jaguar close behind. The Infiniti has me sold with their design, specs and interior. Just on my previous experience with the M45 sport, I know this car will deliver especially considering the huge power increase. The Jaguar is just as impressive, but the desire I have for the Infiniti is much greater.
