Photography Big Sam's New Porsche Macan Turbo

Sweet ride, congrats!
I wonder how much Porsche center paid for your Taycan GTS. For my 2021 Turbo they offered 60k euro and surprisingly no discount for Macan.

Collected my new Porsche Macan Turbo this morning. A few key options:

Volcano Grey
Black leather with Turbonite trim elements and stitching
22" RS Spyder rims in Turbonite
Rear Axle Steering
Sport Chrono Package

You can get discounts for the Macan. I suspect that margin was put into your Turbo offer to get it to 60K.

This is my third Porsche from this Porsche Centrum, and it turns out they gave me the highest bid for my Taycan GTS. €77,500, registered in July '23, with 15,000km. I got 8.2% off the Macan on top of that.

They sold my GTS before it was even advertised, I believe. I don't even want to know they sold it for.

Will be interesting to see how the greater CdA effects efficiency on a run compared to the Taycan.

I'm looking forward to finding out tonight. Overnight drive from southern Holland through Belgium and France to the Channel Tunnel, and then up to Preston to get it machine polished and ceramic coated. What I get tonight will be the worse case scenario looking at the temperatures. I actually think it will give me better efficiency than the Taycan GTS, as the power train is more efficient, but we'll see. I have all the data for my Taycan so I'll compare it with the Macan.

I got the following (pretty poor but worse case) figures on my 1,700km trip to Leeds and back over Christmas in the Taycan, which was also during cold temperatures overnight:

Porsche Taycan GTS Sport Turismo

Total distance: 1,703.8 km (1,058.7 miles)
Power consumed: 507.22 kWh
Power added: 544.75 kWh
Actual consumption: 29.8 kWh/100km (47.9 kWh/100mls) or (2.09 miles/kWh)
Cost of charging (public/private): €169.07
Trip cost: 9.9 € ct per km (13.2p per mile)

*The "power consumed" and "power added" figures are different due to heat loss when charging. I calculate the efficiency of the car by using the "power consumed" figures. And I calculate the trip cost using the "power added" figures.

As a comparison, my Mercedes-Benz C 200 on a similar trip would cost around 11 € ct per km, so the Taycan is still cheaper than the ICE in its "worse case", than the C-Class in its "best case".

Really good. Already had to put it to good use within twenty minutes of driving from the showroom. Wanted to do a u-turn, and even with the RAS, I thought it was going to be a struggle without reversing, but it did it with ease. Would be the first box I'd tick if ordering again. Had it on the Taycan GTS also, but the Macan turns to a much larger degree.

Betty it looks like your vehicle is quite highly specified with leather dash and door trims etc. I'm very interested to read how you compare the Macan to the Taycan in all respects, including the interior.
