I hope the new MB EVs start to look better when the company moves away from the EQ line up. Guess the W224 S-Class will be the first real test for the brand.Yeah the E-class easily wins this one. i5 vs. EQE however...neither bother me but the i5 wins that competition.

Hmm? How are we seeing C and GLC EVs before the S-Class, which debuted earlier? The 2024 CLA will look like an evolution of previous CLAs so that's test #1. Test #2 and #3 are actually coming with the electric C-class and GLC that we should be seeing in 2025-2026.

Agree with everything.ICE
Exterior design: E >> 5er; there isn't any aspect of the G60 I like more than the G30 LCI. It looks a bit too tall. The only part I like is the side's surface detailing.
Powertrain line-up for the USA: E = 5er. Pretty much a draw in that respect.
pure EV
Exterior design: EQE < i5er. After seeing them IRL, I am not as miffed by the 3-box EQ design language as I once was, but the i5 has a slight edge.
Powertrain line-up: ? While I am not anti-EV, considering it's not something I am ready to consider at this point, so I can't be bother to dive into the details. I am sure they are relatively comparable. At this point I'd consider 1) range, 2) time it takes to charge to 80%, and 3) speed/acceleration, in that order of importance.
ICE/pure EV
Interior design: E (non-Superscreen) = 5er; E (Superscreen) < 5er. The interior is a now-standard BMW affair. I have more faith in BMW's interior materials than I do Merc's.
That's exactly the main issue I have with it. It looks like a 5 series Cross-Country / allroad / All-Terrain.. The BMW's side profile is that of a crossover, that polar opposite of what a 5-Series should be.
