BMW Compact Sedan Concept unveiled, previews the 1-Series Sedan

The car is too high at cabin level maybe to offer a 2 grancoupe ;)
The front is a mix between Lusso concept and the pre facelift Bmw 1 series

Absolutely amazing how they translated the much larger Lasso's interior and exterior concept to this. A truly spectacular result for BMW. Messy proportions for a FWD are a given. It's all about how you manage this shortcoming that shows prowess in design, and I think for the most part, BMW have shown they can design around it.

Headlights are amazing.

I like this Concept and it would be pity if the real sedan would available only at the chinese market.

And again, that 10% makes all the difference.
I'm absolute with you. I have said it in the talk about the Active Tourer and its Concept.
There are only less design modifications but this changed the appearance radical IMO. I like the production car too but the Concept looks more pleasing.

I am actually liking this concept after seeing more pics of it, the front and back styling looks crisp. It reminds me somehow of the E46, maybe the size is close enough, the interior also looks good. Space in the back seat looks good from the pics.

@SCOTT27 , i agree with @SKY that it looks great just like in my opinion the 2er GT concept did. I don't doubt that it will look 90% just like the 2er GT. Unfortunately the other 10% had a bigger impact in making it the somewhat dull akward looking thing it is.

^^ Yep that overhang and having the front wheels nearly at the front doors is the price you pay for FWD. Even BMW couldn't hide it here.

The X1 suffers from the same problem.

M

And the A class, B class, GLA class and CLA class. Am I forgetting something?

The exterior design of the concept is quite nice, with a certain simplicity in it which may have lacked recently in latest BMW, clean profile, no "enormous" kidneys grill, no headlight connect to the grill, no air breather, no hockey stick, no excessive chrome detail (which is weird for a concept for China...).

Now I can't stop to imagine this design on +5 meter, RWD sedan with great proportion like the 7-series and just how good it would have looked....
