Like SKY, I was starting to get to like the exterior more and more today, especially with the recent spate of pics from the Concours. Then I saw this and am damn near sold...except that for the woodchuck kidney grille.

The interior though...

LOL! Oh my goodness, another hideous BMW concept! The profile and rear are great but that front - what's up with the ugly face? Same reaction I had to that awful roadster concept that looked to me like a concussed beaver. Blech.

A homage to the 3.0 CSL? More like a desecration.

The 328 Hommage reminded me of a dead Rat from the Fantastic Mr. Fox...oh, BTW, spoiler alert.

I'd hazard to Google search for a "concussed beaver," I could do without the trauma.

Late for the party like always, but I love it! Yet another sexy Hommage in my eyes. Only things that bother me on them are the steering wheel on the CSL (a round one would've suited it better IMO) and that orange colour on the M1 (still think it'd look much better in another colour).

Great job BMW! Shame the other concept was a to me uninteresting bike. Was hoping for anything else really.

Badly want to see a BMW design with such an awesome front. Looks better every time I see it. Only thing I don't really like are the backlights, they could have been a bit more conventional for me.

The Concept shows some interesting movements within BMW design.
If we start at the front of the car and if we include the Vision Future Luxury also.
We see the start of a new trend that enters with the incoming new 7er - The L-shaped headlight and although we will see the feature become more angular with the next 5er and eventually the 3er it indicates all core models will feature L-Shaped headlights.
The Concept shows the direction for the Coupe models with the reverse L shape headlight.

Many years ago we prepared you for the three dimensional kidney grille which is prominent on many BMW models today. Now we have to prepare you for the larger kidney grille introduced with the Vision Future Luxury.
Such a grille will be a feature of the new BMW X7.
And as engines become sophisticated they will need more cooling and one potential move is to enlarge the kidney grille which will be seen on future models.

But the idea is also to create more hardcore versions of its current M models especially in Coupe format. The first BMW M3 CSL was criticised for being just a standard M3 and the M3 GTS was criticised for being an M3 with an aftermarket spoiler, even though their understated ness illustrated they were far from regular.

The concept is to show an internal idea on mixing the past philosophy of CSL with today's advancement in materials to revive the lucrative CSL insignia for the ultimate M models.
Which means that the cars will be more definitive than their standard versions even more. The first example to take the exclusive road will be the all new BMW M4 GTS which will be shown as a preview concept at Pebble Beach in August.

Essentially the M4 GTS will be a production model of the BMW M4 Safety Car which was the M4 GTS "Concept". In 2016 BMW M will provide its first look at concepts of two models which will wear the CSL badge as well as more pronounced bodywork and lightweight features to illustrate exciting and lucrative possibilities.

What do you mean with more hardcore then? More hardcore looks? Because apart from the looks the cars are anything but regular M3 models. And nobody claims they are exempt maybe Kiwirob who only likes the E30 M3 and the rest isn't special

Either way, this sounds good to me:

M4
M4 CP
M4 GTS
M4 CSL

In that order with the CSL being the sickest.
A whole line of M4 cars to combat everything from Carrera S to GT3 RS.

Exactly.
This concept uses a six cylinder eDrive variation with eBoost, total power is around 560 PS. Therefore you just don't get the performance but you also get a sports car that will also meet efficiency targets.

C'mon I liked the 328 Hommage. Why did you have to ruin it for me?!?!?!? Now I can't un-see that. :p

I have every right to say what I think. If you have a that big of a problem with me calling out BMW when they drop the ball, then there are plenty of other BMW forums out there.

I don't like the way BMW is headed, its changing from the company I used to love to one that sometimes I cannot even recognize anymore. I'm going to voice my dislike of their new direction every time I see fit. It may not change anything, but at least I'll know I said something.

I am a BMW owner, enthuisaist, and I have even been offered a 3-term engineering internship from BMW at Plant Spartanburg (as a 2nd semester freshman in college) because of my enthusiasm for the brand. So, my strong critism is clearly not based on hatred of the brand and I am definitely invested enough in the company to criticize it.

I'm not a getting into a fight with you. I've been in fights on forums before and I'm done with that. Its not fun or appealing to me anymore. You have your opinion, let me have mine. If you want to have a discussion I'd be more than happy to do so, but I'm not sure why you feel the need to try to antagonize me because you disagree with me.

PS: I'm pretty sure it has a 3.0L I6 with some sort of hybrid set-up.
Fair enough.

It has a fantastic exhaust note, I like the details of the exhaust and body work when on the move is really dynamic and wide.
