Save Bundes-and Landesregierung car fleets and fancy hotel courtesy vehicles, the 7/i7 is not of great relevance here in Germany. Pretty much the same applies to the M-B S-Class and Audi A8. Larger, very lavishly configured SUVs have long captured a big piece of their former market. Not to mentioned upper executive segment offerings such as the 5er, E-Class and A6. And for a few years following its presentation, the Porsche Taycan.

Surprisingly in Saudi Arabia I have not seen many of the new 7 models on the road and the ones I have seen are 735i models. Most seem to be black or white. I have seen more W223 S-class models here, but even those are not as popular as the W222 model.

When I was in South Africa in June, it was the same thing, not many 7 models I saw and more W223 S-class models.
