X6 BMW X6 (G06/F96) picture thread

The BMW X6 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV by German automaker BMW. The BMW X6 is the originator of the sports activity coupé (SAC), referencing its sloping rear roof design. It combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, all-wheel drive and all-weather ability, large wheels and tires) with the stance of a coupé (styling featuring a sloping roof).
For me the E71 was easily the best execution of the idea. The F16 was truck-ugly, and the late...

I would also say the F15 X5 looked quite weak without the M Pack. The interior design was not my cup of tea either. The G05 is a home run IMO. The ones I have seen IRL with the M Pack look fantastic. Can't think of many SUVs looking better at the moment.

Btw, LOL at the usual fanatics disagreeing with any comment that is not absulute praise for the brand the seem to have equity on.

Sky, please... Why t f am i usual fanatic because i disagree with your comment? Praise? Give me a break, will you? I disagree because i like previous generation more than 1st one and i also like the new one, have absolutely no problems with it's design and i'm fanatic because of that?

I just find it funny how some of you not only like every product a brand creates, but also feel the need of clicking "agree" to anyone praising that brand, and "disagree" with anyone saying something barely negative.

To each his own I guess.

First gen X6 is still the best looking in my opinion. It has the most harmonious design and has a great looking rear and I like the front lights and bulging wheel arches. The latest car has the worst rear lights and back design, it appears like the bumper is so flat like it’s been hit by a bus.

It's interesting to see that the E71 X6 (along with the E70 X5) had the kidneys integrated into the hood when the rest of the range at that time moved to the next design phase of having the kidneys integrated into the bumper.

Fully agreed. Something is very wrong with the current X6, imo. Can't quite put my finger on it, but it's in BMW's ugly list together with the 1er, 2er GC, X4 and 2er GT/AC

I want to like the current X6, but just cant seem to like the rear end styling. It looks too upright and those thin lights just dont do it for me, makes it have too much metal between the bumper and the lights. I think the thinner tail lights look better on a saloon or sports car rather than SUV. X6 and X4 not really attractive but I kinda like the X2 its not bad.

Don’t remove the gear stick , BMW!

That whole interior setup looks like a big step backwards compared to the current model.

It seems the buttons around the vents are place holders. The final version is expected to have the AC controls integrated in the twin screens.

Twin screens, no buttons, no gear stick... Not sure who at BMW thought this was a good idea.

Why would you need the gear stick? It's the most obsolete part in today's BMW interiors.

I mean, what's not good about a deal where you get the old Mercedes screens for a cheap price?

BTW, this is a picture thread, and spy shots of a newer model really don't belong here....can a mod please relocate this discussion to the X5/6 thread? @martinbo ?

@martinbo or even better, on the BMW, Waht's next? thread, since this new interior approach will also be present in upcoming BMWs.

If this happens, as is has with the iX, do you guys think it is an acknowledgement that MB was about 6-7 years ahead in terms of interior architecture? How do you perceive this change? To me it seems to indicate BMW's current design layout was a bit ill-conceived to not foresee the move to the widescreen set up and this is the sort shortsighted design outcome that happened when MB moved from Pfeiffer to Wagner and some of the interiors were not designed to accommodate the horizontal screen set up. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it.

DISCLAIMER: I am neither interested in nor trying to incite a flame war. I just want the genuine oppinions of members here, BMW fans and others alike.
