I think the best way to describe these new models would be to just.... *yawn*...

I think the grille looks "ok" on the LS and IS but the GS with that grille looks weird. Is Lexus taking the Acura route?

I'm sure if you got a chance to drive the IS you would probably trade in your Mini and get an "I love Lexus" bumper sticker. Might even cancel your BMW Membership.

I have driven the IS. Extensively. It does nothing for me. It is the oposite of the MINI, that being it is charmless, dull and anonymous. Furthermore, it feels like a Corolla inside and makes strange noices when pushed... it drives like car for granny and drink fuel like an irishman drinks whiskey.

So, no, the IS is not even close to being premium in any way but the price. As a car it is closer to the SAAB 9-3 than it is to the A4, C-class or 3-series.

Just the basic ones. There are about two F-model cars in Sweden. No chance to drive them unless you are brainwashed enough to buy them.

In that case I do agree. The regular models are very boring. I doubt lexus will ever beat the Germans in terms of sport. They might get up there with comfort and maybe technology wise.
