296 [2021-] [Hot!] Ferrari 296 GTB - New V6 Hybrid Supercar for 2022

The Ferrari 296 (Type F171) is a two-seater, offered as a GTB coupe and a GTS folding hard-top convertible. It is a plug-in hybrid with a rear mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and its powertrain combines a twin-turbocharged 120-degree bank angle V6, with an electric drive fitted in between the engine and gearbox. The 296 can be driven in electric-only mode for short distances, to comply with use in urban zero-emission zones.
I agree. The design of this car is absolutely gorgeous. It's such a shame the resale market has not been kinder to it. The V6 Hybrid is glorious. A piccolo V12 is not a bad analogy.

Make that three 296's now.

Fantastic! What Grigio?

Not even same league, punches way above the Turbo S. I had my Turbo for about 16 months and put 7k miles on. There’s are nice things about the turbo like it blends in, it’s pretty comfortable and usable especially given the performance. But ultimately I just didn’t gel with it. It’s one car that post selling I’ve never looked back and missed. I miss my 458’s, my i8, my M5’s, my cayenne turbo GT. I don’t miss my 992 Turbo S or GT3. If I was to get another Porsche I’d get a 991 GT3.

That's really interesting. What about the 992 cars did you just not gel with?

I have a 992.1 GTS, and other than our current W223, I don't remember enjoying a car as thoroughly every time I drive it. Obviously 2 very different experiences, but from my frame of reference 2 extremely accomplished vehicles in their own respects.

But I guess it is my first 911, so I probably can't really lament what may have been lost from previous generations. Ignorance can sometimes be bliss. Lol.

TTS never felt natural to me. Turbo came on spiky. I never trusted that it wouldn’t spin me around a corner if the boost hit. People lament the boosted nature of McLarens but the 765 has always felt totally natural for me. It’s a much more response and linear turbo than the TTS. Car also lacked personality. I then got a 992 GT3 and it was just so uncomfortable from a ride quality standpoint and I regrettably got a manual and just didn’t enjoy using it after a while. I’m soft now. I was to cruise without fighting or being beat up by my car sometimes.

Funny though, I’ve only made $ 3x in my life off cars, and those two I didn’t like were two of them. Porsche market is crazy. And I’ll get smoked on my 296 and it’s incredible.

So difficult to get Rosso Maranello’s depth in sunlight to translate via pics
You nailed it, this is THE perfect color for this car. Congratulations (y)

@domleo999
I guess in Dubai I would prefer white, but it looks very classy in black (y)
Have fun, I would take it easy for the first 1000km, after this you can increase the revs until 1500km.

Car is getting quicker. This was done a few evenings ago. 0-100 was 2.99 (2.90 0-60 mph) and the 1/8 mile was 6.63 at 116.9 mph. Still a fair amount of spin at launch. Probably cost .2 seconds.

CT off is the best way to get the most out of the car.
4,39 s 100-200 km/h in great! AutoBild Sportscars managed 4,31 s with a 843 PS presscar. :)
