Anyway bringing it back on topic, I feel Apple has missed a trick with the Iphone 6 plus, part of the reason why the Galaxy note was so popular is because of the added functionality of the stylus, I have tired it, it isn't some useless gimmick, and it offers people a reason to buy the Note

I think I'll get the 5S. ApplePay seems like thing that's relatively worthwhile, but not enough to spend extra over it.
Regarding whether the iPhone was the first smartphone, I think that the Blackberry was that. The iPhone brought the smartphone to the masses and made it look sexy; the Blackberry was confined to mostly businessmen.

I must have had some better luck here in the States. Preordered the 6 for me and the 6+ for the wife and they are both being delivered on September 19th!
And on a related note, how in the heck is anyone who doesn't carry a purse supposed to lug around something the size of a 6+ or Note? Or better yet, who would even want to? Makes no sense to me.

No the Nokia communicator was the first attempt at a smartphone, Palm & Ericsson also had a go, all were too early.

I'm sure there wouldn't be a company in the world who wouldn't leap at the kinda of media attention Apple get with every new release. It must annoy the crap out of their competition!
This thing with Apple IMO is when you buy into their universe it's very difficult to get out of it, so you just go with the flow.

A post about public interests (good or bad) on iPhone 6 relative to competition is more relevant to the discussion than the baseless bashing (though it helps to generate free publicity).
iDevices having less impressive specs than competition is not a news anymore. Moreover, specs only tell half the story about user experience.
I'll wait for proper review when the product hits the store before criticizing it.
