Mazda has long been a brand that has placed emphasis on design. And solely in terms of design, my favorite Japanese brand. No longer so common here in Germany though. I recall when the 626 sedan sold like fresh breakfast rolls back in the mid-1980s. And afterwards the first-gen MX5/Miata.

Fully agree, Mazda cars all look fantastic and they my favorite Japanese car brand for design. Their interiors are also the best built of all the Japanese brands. I have seen quite a few of the new CX-60 and CX-90 models and they are super stylish SUVs,

Well that’s not exactly a surprise.

200 heavy modified versions of the MX-5 is a ridiculously low number.

I guess worldwide they’d be able to sell 15k of them.

Here in Europe we’re now stuck with the 132hp 1.5, which is a choke for a sportscar.

People lust after a new S2000, with a powerful 2L N/A engine.

Turbocharged PHEV Rotary Engine probably with the 8Speed automatic from the CX80, that’s exactly the engine this car needs.

The Rotary engine is somehow limited regarding the Compression Ratio, you must Turbocharge it to make it efficient. The E-motor of the PHEV can be used to fill the turbolag.
